I've been doing open mic nights on and off for years and absolutely love getting up on stage so looking for a band that wants to gig.
I'm 28 and though singing is what I love, I can play basic guitar and used to play the piano so I'm sure I can pick it up again if needed.
My singing style is kind of bluesey/jazzy/soul but if I like a song I'll sing it! I'd say in terms of range Amy Winehouse is a good example of where I feel most comfortable.
I write my own songs and would love a band that would be open to that, but who also wants to take a risk and do unexpected covers - my favourite recent cover I've done is a mash up of 'Shut Up' by Stormzy and 'Respect' by Aretha.

Influences
Anything and everything...
Eva Cassidy is a huge influence on the way I sing, but so are the great soul classics like Aretha and Nina Simone.
I'm massively into grime and rap, but I've lost count of the number of times I've seen Biffy and I'm still not over seeing the Foos at Glastonbury last year. I'm into most style of music - pretty much if you can sing to it then I'll like it!
