I started playing guitar at 16 after leaving school and being told by music teachers since the age of 10 that I should be learning to play an instrument.
I taught myself by going to the library and lending the Beatles complete songbook with chord shapes and tablature.
I stopped playing at 19 as I felt I had hit the wall!!
I bought another guitar last summer and have picked up more in the last year than I did from the age of 16 to 19 and since then I have bought a few decent quality replicas, tele, strat, led Paul, a few acoustics and even a couple of bass guitars and am always being complimented but always listen more to constructive criticism.
