Played semi and pro since 1975, though I took a 15 year sabbatical in late 80s to pursue a professional path (I’m a computer scientist!).
Upon moving to Knysna, Western Cape, SA, in 2012, I started playing music again. Rapidly became top muso in town, doing both solo, duo, trio and quartet.
Played in orchestras for pantos, and shows, backed various international stars in backing band includes Cliff Richard, Daniel Boone, Rod McKeun, Pat & Debbie Boone, Rolf Harris (????????), whilst also jamming with Chicago when they were in SA. Befriended Bruce Cassidy.
On the jazz from, played mainly with local SA musicians, as well as Darius Brubeck, son of Dave Brubeck.
