I have been playing bass since I was a teenager for over 30 years and have always been in bands, mainly grunge, rock and metal originals, but have occasionally dipped into blues and pop/rock covers bands Currently playing in a female-fronted rock band up in Cambridge an hour away from where I live in Stevenage who aren't particularly active (festival gigs almost exclusively now) and after depping for my mate's covers band in South London I've got the itch to play a bit more regularly somewhere closer to home and perhaps switch over to a pub/function covers band
I would describe my playing as a non-flashy "what's best for the song" bassist and while I have a lot of experience and a fair amount of ability I am happiest holding down a groove with a drummer bridging the rhythm and melody of the band and leaving room for the guitars to do their thing.
I have accumulated decent gear over the years and have my own transport, teeth and even a tuner
