ABOUT

Drummer with solid live and studio experience — previously played in the prog rock band Touchstone (two albums, UK/US tours, national press/radio, festivals). Also performed with KOTR at top London venues like the 100 Club and Shepherd’s Bush Empire.

Currently looking to join a band doing covers, with a view to working on originals in the future. While drums are my main instrument (I’ve got both acoustic and electronic kits), I also play bass and am gig-ready with a quality setup (Ibanez bass + Ashdown amp).

Happy to join as either a drummer or bassist, depending on the project — just looking to make great music with like-minded people.

Right now, I’m keen to join or form a covers band focused on high-quality material from the ‘70s to ‘90s — the kind of lush, polished songs that pack a punch when done right. Think Fleetwood Mac, Chicago, Simply Red — big, glossy numbers with harmonies, dynamics, and serious performance value. Real showstoppers.

I’m especially interested in taking this into the functions and wedding circuit, not just pubs and clubs. That said, I’m also open to doing something a bit more niche — tight, energetic rock/pop sets played well and delivered with impact.

For me, the key is energy, professionalism, and tightness. I want to be part of a band that rehearses regularly, nails the intros, outros, and breaks, and puts on a proper show — fun, engaging, animated, and 100% dialed in. Whether it’s a party crowd or a big stage, I’m all about getting the room fizzing and leaving a real impression.

Influences

Listening Taste
My playlists have been described as eclectic (or just plain bonkers!) — I’ll go from Enya to Dizzee Rascal, Dimmu Borgir to Christmas carols, medieval minstrels, hard trance, doom metal, and ambient all in one sitting. I love variety and draw inspiration from just about every corner of music, even if it’s not something I play directly.

As a Drummer
My roots are firmly in rock and metal — that’s where my style was forged, and it still informs how I play today. Influences here include Metallica, Pantera, AC/DC, Joan Jett, and Pink Floyd, and my natural feel is energetic, punchy, and locked-in. I love progressive and hard-hitting material that gives space for dynamics and power.

As a Bassist
On bass, I lean toward groove-driven and melodic playing. I love the feel of disco, funk, and polished pop rock — think Boogie Wonderland, Relight My Fire, Love Sensation, Simply Red, Chicago (late ‘80s), Little River Band, ABBA, Toto, Bee Gees, and some of that smooth modern country vibe like James Taylor, Old Dominion, and Richard Marx.
