ABOUT
Age 27 and currently in second year of a music degree, I enjoy all styles and have a decent grasp on quite a wide range of music. My favored/strongest styles would be blues/rock, funk, gospel, hip-hop, fusion (e.g. Toto), reggae and many things in between.
I've found that having a decent grasp of music theory is very helpful in aiding quick and easy learning and writing of music. Basic music reading has been helpful too.
Apart from playing in some bands for this degree I have previously done a fair amount of solo acoustic performances and played in a country/alternative band for 2 years.

Influences
My influences are mainly the guitarists and song writers from any of the styles that I love most. Some of these are: Mark Knopfler, Larry Carlton. Steve Lukather (Toto), Bob Marley, Jimi, Stevie Ray, Guthrie Goaven etc.
EQUIPMENT
-I generally use strat guitars but also have a more modern rock style aria.
-Blackstar HD20 valve amp for versatility
-Pedal board to suit most contemporary guitar styles

-5-string Bass with TC electronic 500W amp
