Guitarist/Songwriter seeks vocalist/Keys to create original studio work.
Mainly looking for a songwriting partner/producer to form a fun, creative musical bond. Ideally someone who can sing (or Rap); to create experimental layers of sound... combining Synthpop with guitar-oriented riffs & licks. Some ambient, some retro film-noir, plus some up-tempo.
The major influences I can hear in the stuff I write are QOTSA, Goldfrapp, 80’s Synthpop, The Beatles & some Pink Floyd.
Whilst I would like to team up with a good vocalist, I am also open to experiment with the spoken word as a vocal style… along the lines of Gil Scott Heron, Leonard Cohen and/or Nick Cave.
To get things going, maybe just some chilled jamming with no expectations and see where it goes?

Influences
I love lots of music... from Portishead to Radiohead... Goldfrapp to Zappa.... The Beatles (esp. Lennon's later work '66 - '70). I was a teenager in the 80s, and that is a key element of my musical identity. I recently reviewed a series of songs I’m currently working on; which are quite varied in their musical style. This has been a useful exercise, as it helped me to identify the style which I feel suits me best: and that’d be a blend of Synth & Guitar with a retro 80’s flavour.
I also greatly admire the creativity of Billie Eilish & Finneas O'Connell, especially how they have successfully created something fresh and new. Reflecting on all of the above, I guess I’d say the desire to create something new and unique is my principal driver.

EQUIPMENT
4 electric guitars (one is a baritone - this and 2 others are set up for Slide), plus an analog Synth, a great pedalboard (I'm very proud if it! Ha ha!), running in stereo into two wonderful tube amps. Also have home studio set-up.
