I have been playing in local original material bands on and off for nearly 20 years. I love all kinds of music. My current band is about to split is various members are moving away etc: I want to set up something from scratch with a leaning towards NIN, Depeche Mode, Ministry, The Mission, The Cult, The Cure, Sisters Of Mercy etc: heavy in places with an emphasis on melody and ambience.

Influences
Pink Floyd, Nine Inch Nails, The Mission, Depeche Mode, Steve Vai, Van Halen, Kate Bush, Radio Head, John Lydon (PIL) ... And ... Err :) I HATE these bits on any profile cos' you start thinking, why didn't I add Frank Zappa??? Why did I not say The Who? ... Dura Duran? Exodus? The Prodigy?
The list goes on forever!
I'm influenced a lot by films, books, good stories, situations. People in one way or another, whether that's encountering the product of their own artistic expression, music, literature... Or a direct thing, a conversation I've had or a life experience. I'm not some sort of pretentious prat though :) I can write songs about drinking and farts too! It's all rock n roll :)

This is something I've done on my 'home studio' :) ... It consists of a 5 year old digital 8 track, a 10 year old Boss drum machine mixed down with the finest £8 JVC headphones :) ... Everything I do I give to whichever band I'm in and 9 times out of 10 it gets rewritten entirely and made better. I'm all about the ideas sharing and not precious at all about it :)

Another self indulgent instrumental... I'm putting these up as I don't have any full band stuff recorded unfortunately! This was done on my mates PC. It'll hopefully give an idea of where I'm at in terms of playing but it isn't particularly reflective of the stuff I necessarily want to do.

Again... The mighty home studio... To improve the sound this time, I mixed it with Stella and Jack Daniels... As I was REALLY drunk I expressed my love of all things overdriven!!! ... I'm also aware that the other 2 tracks are very balady so this gives another element!
