ABOUT

I'm a Blues Harmonica player, Blues song writer. I play Diatonic and Chromatic blues harp and singer, over 30 years experience I have played with some of the top bands in the Birmingham area, I also lived in the USA for 3 years, I've learned from some of the best and played with them. I want to form a mixture West Coast style blues, Chicago blues, A little bit of Cajun and some obscure soul. I DON'T WANT TO PLAY BRITISH BLUES! OR BLUES ROCK. I see a lot of bands and I'm sick to death hearing it frankly. So if you can't play without distortion or effects pedals I don't want to know. What I'm looking for is a guitarist who is not afraid to have a clear 1950's guitar sound, big you have Jazz, Rockabilly, Surf, and Proper blues influences that would be cool. I'd like a stand up bass player but not necessary and a drummer who is more familiar with the blues again if you've got Jazz influences on top that would be great I'd like to do a series of cool little heard covers not the usual stuff and original material. I write humourous observational blues, dirty blues.
