SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist, Bass Guitar.ABOUT
I started playing drums in 2016 and have been playing a few pub gigs with our rock/punk band for the last couple of years. But now I want to join/form a new band, playing music on which I can play more interesting drum work, for example:
- You Know I’m No Good - Amy Winehouse
- Honky Tonk Women - Rolling Stones
- You Do Something To Me - Paul Weller
- Live Forever - Oasis
- Dreams - Fleetwood Mac
- Gimme Shelter - Rolling Stones
So, quite relaxed tracks, although I understand that band song choices will always be a democratic group decision.
I keep time and communicate with the band, constantly trying to improve my playing and taking regular lessons.

Influences
I have a wide range of influences, from punk/new wave to R&B/funk - from George Clinton, to The Who, to The Killers - but drumming-wise I want to play something more syncopated and a bit less frantic, so that I can play better drums
- Amy Winehouse, Bill Withers, Grace Jones
- Rolling Stones, David Bowie
I am lucky enough to have professional drummer Roger Batting as my tutor.
Favourite drummers include the late, great Charlie Watts, Sly Dunbar and Omar Hakim.
