Jazz greats, especially Nina Simone, also Ella Fitzgerald, et al. Love the voices of Alison Moyet, Linda Perry, Anita Baker, Annie Lennox, Janis Ian, Cyndi Lauper.

Microphones. Also keyboard and guitar, but not my primary instruments - they are just for fun.
