Alchemista are a Coventry-based five-piece band playing their own original songs in a style best described as melodic rock.
Caroline Luxton-White (lead vocals), Bob Fisher (Guitar and harmony vocals), Paul Jayes (Piano and Guitar), Mark Nisbet (Bass) and Colin Halliwell (Drums) were magically brought together through their passion for well-crafted songs with big choruses, hooky grooves and poetic lyrics. Originally formed with a family nucleus of partners Caroline, Colin and brother Ray Halliwell, the band reached a temporary hiatus when Ray died suddenly in 2015. However, to their delight, a one-off Bandmix advert for a guitarist was answered by a full range of musicians including keyboards and bass, and a ‘bigger-and-better’ Alchemista was re-launched in October 2015. June 2018 brought a change of guitarist when Bob Fisher left and was replaced by Pete Garelick who has helped lift the band to a new level.
Who do we sound like? Some say we sound a little like Fleetwood Mac :) But we don't really try to sound like anyone and aim for an eclectic mix of songs.

Anyone who wants to come along and strut their stuff will be welcome - from solo singers to full bands.
