In Alan’s hometown of Stoke-on-Trent in 1984 it was the old upright piano in the dining room that was to be his introduction to music. That beautiful honky-tonk sound was the bedrock for the beginnings of his musical journey. His first professional keyboard was the legendary Yamaha DX7 which was the instrument used for his early performances in Congleton Town Hall and Marquees in the Park. He played in lots of venues across North Staffordshire and South Cheshire in those early days.
Since then, Alan has enjoyed travelling ‘all over the place’ playing all kinds of styles and genres for over 20 years. Many different venues from the Blackpool Winter Gardens, the Sands Centre Carlisle, Birmingham Convention Centre to the Nottingham Playhouse. Stretching the length of the UK from Dundee to Swansea, Milford Haven to Hunstanton. Numerous Festivals in Thirsk, Shropshire, Southport, Skegness and the Scottish Borders, as well as performances in Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria and Cyprus.
Alan joined VOULEZ VOUS at the end of 2011…
