I am a 36 year old guitarist looking to start a Queen covers band, maybe leading to a full blown tribute band in the future. First priority is getting the music bang on and I'm happy to wear a black curly wig later on :-)
I've been in original and covers band since I was 16 and have played mostly rock and metal. I have always been a Queen fan and have covered them in the past a lot but would really like to find a like minded singer/pianist or 2 separate people if need be, bassist and drummer to join me in this project. Ability to play the songs well and a love of Queen is far more important than looking like Freddie, John or Roger as I am certainly no Brian May visually.
I have a full gigging guitar set up and am willing to expand my rig once the project gets underway to buy more of the gear Brian uses to get closer to his sound.
Normally rehearse in Portsmouth or Fareham but anywhere local is fine. Just want to get started.
