Pro-Standard Duo Seek Rhythm & Keys: Rock, Blues, Soul & Jazz
We are an established highly collaborative vocalist and guitarist duo building a versatile, dynamic set.
We are professionals with daytime jobs and other commitments. We do this to enjoy making music and having fun with it, but we are completely serious about the process, the collaboration, and high-quality musicianship. We’ve played in different bands over the years and have strong live performance experience. No egos—just a shared passion for exploring great music.
We rehearse at least once a fortnight in the Hackney / Dalston area.
Our immediate goal is to build a tight, short set and start playing local open mic nights, keeping the pressure low and the enjoyment high. We hope to build on this and do more and more gigs with time.
We are looking for three key members to complete the lineup:
Bassist: Someone who loves locking into a groove, enjoys playing with dynamics, and knows how to support a song.
Pianist / Keyboardist: A versatile player who can add beautiful harmonic texture and complement the guitar work.
Drummer: an imaginative musician who shapes their playing around the song rather than just keeping a beat — moving fluidly between rock drive, jazz swing, and gospel-blues feel.

Our influences stretch from 60s and 70s hard rock through to jazz giants like Miles Davis and Donald Byrd, rooted deeply in old spirituals, gospel flavors, and the blues. So our repertoire mixes these genres and sounds:
