ABOUT
We are desperately seeking a new drummer, someone who is happy to rehearse once or more a week (we tend to rehearse 3 days) and is comfortable with playing varying time signatures, timbres, and tempos. Our last drummer left to go and study, and we have tried others since but have had no luck in integrating someone. Our music can be heard on the usual mediums i.e , soundcloud etc. We have alot of new material, and have honed our older material to a fine art.
At the moment we are looking forward to getting back on the gigging scene, and hopefully recording a full EP as soon as is physically possible. We have fans who are dying to see us play again, so please get in touch. /abrasionsband @ . co. uk (remove spaces and /)

We are influenced by so many different artists accross many genres and eras... Mogwai, Connan Mockasin, St Vincent, The Sranglers, Fairport Convention, Wes Montgomery, Bert Jansch, Davey Graham, The Doors, Jackson C. Frank, BBC, Radiohead, Sonic Youth, Pink Floyd, Townes Van Zandt, The Pixies, Interpol, Pavement, Air, Aphex Twin, Yes, Joy Division, Elbow, The Chameleons, Deftones, Blur and Talking Heads are the CDs I have next to my stereo at the moment.

EQUIPMENT
Guitar, bass and vocal-wise we are sorted. A drummer would need their own kit to gig with but would need just breakables to jam with us. We are able to rehearse at home and have access to free and professional spaces across town.
