As a unit, we're a very committed and hard working guitarist and bass player, we practice a lot, we like playing music. We work to schedules and we genuinely enjoy the processes involved with the stages leading up to releasing music publicly. Ideally you have been in an original band and with a decent level of musical ideas and input. We're interested in injecting a fair-to-medium concentration on vocal-oriented recordings and live sound, accessible enough for most, but with interest derived from (or in a similar vein to) something musical / technical enough to show we've got interests in a diverse range of music. This may change in future depending on what works.
Think kind of like June of 44 / Shellac / Fugazi / Slint / Sonic Youth / Mission of Burma / Autolux, with a view just to rehearse, play shows, release material regularly and gradually build up a solid base of contacts who either like our music, like seeing us play, or whatever their reason is. In the main, you'll benefit initially from a solid foundation; songs new and old to play with and practice, with a larger share of the songwriting process required in future.
If this all sounds interesting, fair and reasonable (and hopefully not too matter-of-fact!) we'd be very interested in hearing from you to arrange a weekday or weekend practice, or musical chat to establish a fit.
We've got another album currently under construction (10-12 tracks), it would be great to have your input on these and also to correspond to see if you share similar likes / dislikes.
