"The Cartel were a pretty cool group from Portsmouth. They had a little bit of 60's to their sound. This was lad rock at its most rawcous. Good haircuts and there was something of the Sex Pistols about them. V-signs to authority kinda thing. They got something about them, its likeable, different and interesting. If we were a label we'd take a closer look at this group."
