I am looking for a lead guitarist to join my backing band for shows. We play original material in the pop and soul genre and a selection of covers, usually 1 or 2 per show. Guitarists who also provide backing vocals and write are also a big bonus, but this isn't essential at all.

The band have played together for a few years now and only rehearse a couple of weeks prior to a show, however, we would increase rehearsals when a new addition joins us. This is not a gig heavy project, however, you are noted well in advance of any shows I have booked.

A few points to note, which I hope anyone interested would not be put off by:

* Rehearsals are unpaid
* For shows outside of Newcastle all travel and accommodation would be paid for. However, none of these are currently booked.
* You will not be asked to pay for any promotion, recording, advertising etc. However, the odd post saying you're playing at such a venue is always appreciated.
* A willingness to travel would be preferable.
