Maximum Robot are an established originals only alternative rock / grunge band, with three albums released via various streaming media (Spotify, Apple Music etc.). Our newest album 'Absorb the Shock' is now available.

Our previous drummer has returned to her home in Bulgaria, so we are looking for a permanent replacement to complete our trio.

We are seeking a drummer of at least intermediate experience, who is used to playing with a high level of energy and attitude, with a double kick pedal. We are looking for someone who can quickly get up to speed with our existing material, as we are looking to start playing locally (pub / club level across west Surrey and Hampshire). We would ask that you learn at least one of our songs ahead of an audition (we have guide tracks with guitar, vocals and a click for you to practice with - these can be sent to you upon request), the rest we are happy to help you to pick up as we go.

Currently, the band members live in Andover and Aldershot respectively, so ideally we’d be looking to rehearse and practice somewhere in the middle (Basingstoke preferably, but we can be flexible if needed – we have previously rehearsed in Southampton). Our age range is early 30s and early 40s. Our usual practice nights are either Wednesdays or Thursdays. You should preferably be available in Southampton most Wednesday evenings and on the last Sunday of the month from 8pm to play at pub venues.

We ask that all applicants have their own transport, and having your own kit is preferable (but not mandatory as we have our own drum kit and PA system for live shows).
