ABOUT

Been playing guitar since the age of 11, have been in various bands, wrote our own stuff and gigged until 1973, then got married and just played the occasional pub gig doing trad rock 'n roll and covers. Just play acoustic now at home and browse websites for chords and tabs, trying to keep my technique going (was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease a year ago and now playing more and more as therapy). Have played a few times with a traditional Irish band of about 15 members, was great, playing with violinists, banjo players, mandolin players and so on...I dream of just getting back on stage and sinking into the shadows playing rhythm guitar in a "Stones/Quo/Killers/Kaiser Chiefs/Green Day-influenced" bunch of people. Loved the smell of the old-fashioned valves warming up on the Marshall amps and the thrill of switching on a Vox AC30, watching our bass player slowly getting concussed as he leaned against his ottp 1000watt stack! :) recently recorded a CD of my own stuff, 8 accoustic tracks, but I put in some Gibson, had a friend on bass and light percussion and she also did some backing vocals. Really loved the experience and wanna do it again. Well I have done it again and have produced 3 more CDs, I got a bit of my stuff on MySpace. I record at home now on a multi track and paly all instruments.Really wanna get together with other musicians now, or my "virtual" band will swallow me up...I call it "Bad Molly"

EQUIPMENT

Play an electro-acoustic guitar now, hoping to get more gear as I'm medically retired. Sometimes use my son's Gibson and have a blast down in Plymouth using his fender amp. Retired to Somerset, bought a mac mini, using audio pro fast track interface and garageband software, t-bone mic., acquired a marlin bass and an ibanez full hollow, artcore, with f holes, sunburst (she's lovely) and a "cheat" 6 string banjo. Gotta 80w marshall amp./Harley Benton acoustic amp., recently bought a Fender acoustic (the new love of my life) with Fishman tuner
