ABOUT

Dead Rubber Dolls are a Bristol based alternative hard rock originals band, delivering an eclectic sound and energetic live performances. Having launched in 2021, we are an established name across the South West circuit and have played a string of prestigious venues across the city and the wider South of the UK.

We released two EPs in 2022, the second of which, titled "Don't Call It Romance", demonstrates our evolving sound. Our music can be found on most streaming platforms and we also have Instagram and pages if you want to check us out - @deadrubberdolls.

What we are looking for is a talented rhythm guitarist, who can hit the ground running and enhance our sound, albeit we are open to dual solos and encourage creativity. A willingness and ability to do backing vocals would be great but isn’t a deal breaker.

Commitment to weekly rehearsals (currently Thursdays) and regular gigs is a must, including the financial aspect of this. Our gigging schedule varies but we played circa 30 gigs last year and usually have at least one a month, either in Bristol or across the South West and Wales. We have ambitions to branch out to other areas of the country and are looking for someone with the same drive.

The ideal candidate will have a confident stage presence and be willing to contribute to the collaborative writing process behind the scenes. We are working on our first album and it is in its early stages, so there will be a huge opportunity for you to make your mark.

Live experience is preferred but not essential, albeit you must have your own gear and transport. Ideally, you will be between the ages of 20 and 35 as we are all within this bracket.

As to us, we're a pretty laid back and easy-going group, who love a social. We are passionate about the music we're creating and professional in our approach but we do have a laugh and don't take ourselves too seriously.
