For Brighton based punk/rock band, Fighting Fiction
Signed to Xtra Mile Recordings – One album released to positive critical acclaim (see reviews at the bottom), toured the UK seven times and Europe once –
Five week UK/Euro tour planned for mid-september till october 27th, then heading to US to play Fest 12. Our second album is finished and will be released September 16th -
We love what we do as a band. We feel passionate about our music, playing live and touring and have a great time doing all of this. We get to see places that most people will never get to see and we have made amazing friends along the way.
We're looking for someone we can spend weeks cooped up in a van with as well as the right sort of player. Must be technically proficient with an excellent understanding of dynamic and how an instrument should serve a song rather than take centre stage.
Must have good stamina, we love to play hard-hitting with lots of energy.
20s preferred, ideally you'd share some of our influences. Be ready to pitch in with the hard work and finances, when the van needs to be fixed or we want a run of new merch. Some one who can drive with a clean license is preferable but not essential.
Must be based in or near to Brighton.
We love: Weezer, The Hold Steady, Springsteen, The Clash, Against Me, Frank Turner, The Gaslight Anthem, Billy Bragg, Hot Water Music, Propagandhi and loads more.
