Hi there,
We are a group of musicians trying to put together an original band playing funk inspired tunes. Currently have a guitarist/bassist/drummer and looking for a singer to complete the lineup.
Ideally we are looking for someone who can contribute to the writing process. We have a number of demos roughly recorded (minus vocals) and are hoping to work on the songs further with a suitable singer, the ultimate aim to get out and play gigs. However nothing is set in stone and it is our hope that we can develop ideas and songs together as a band.
Our influences would include bands such as fun lovin criminals, beastie boys, red hot chili peppers, incubus, faith no more, as well as older bands like funkadelic, sly and the family stone, hendrix, etc. definitely leaning more towards the funk end of the spectrum rather than punk/rock/metal etc.
The three of us are aged in our early-mid 30s and fairly experienced having all played in various bands over the years. We're not bothered about age or gender of any potential singer, what's more important is having chemistry as a band and working well together.
