Like many, I tried to learn guitar as a teenager, but college, apprenticeship and girls got in the way. Took early retirement and with time on my hands, decided to give music another go, but on this occasion with the mandolin and then the uke. Best thing I've done! Before coming to Salisbury I used to jam three times a week, one bluegrass and two mixtures of country/rock /Irish. I also played in a banjo band on mandolin banjo and ukulele banjo. On occasions I have played mandolin with a rockabilly band (great fun!). My last encounter was with a jazz guitarist and we paired up doing gypsy jazz ---- so many unusual chords! But again, great fun.

EQUIPMENT
I have quite a few types of mandolin, and again a number of ukuleles. Some acoustic and electric guitars and other stringed instruments to play around with. Some of the good brands, Fender-Washburn etc., some not so well known. I also have some good mics, A Fender Twin amp and a Marshall 50. Various effect and di boxes.
