Played drums since the age of 6 years old, taught and influenced by my father. I grew up playing his kit from a very young age and remember as far back as being unable to reach the pedals.
As I grew and got older, I continued on my dad’s drums before saving a whole summer for my very own drum kit - a Mapex meridian birch. Lovely kit.
Years went by and found myself studying music at the ICMP in London enrolled on a Diploma later passing with a distinction. During this time I had played with many musicians, gigging, recording, and generally having fun.
I moved onto Brighton where all of the above continued studying now a degree in modern music. Gigging continued with various bands, recording continuing and putting myself out there playing as much as I possibly could. After finishing my degree I returned back to wales where my drumming career took a back seat and the sticks were put down for many years, my love for drums/drumming never went away though.
I’ve recently purchased a new drum kit, investing not only my time but money into reigniting my love for all of the above. I have plenty of experience in all situations and settings, mainly learning by ear but can read music to a point as well.
