Popularly recognized for her uniquely sonorous and golden textured vocals, Nigerian-born singer, songwriter and artiste, ONANOME, whose birth name is Onome Fortune Osikabor is an afro soul and alternative singer with roots from Delta State of the South-South region of Nigeria.

Born into a pentecostal family of 5 on the 25th of April 1992, her formative years which include her elementary and secondary education took place in Delta state. She then proceeded to obtain a Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication from OSISATECH Polytechnic, Enugu state. She eventually moved to Lagos and joined the Orange Academy where she bagged yet another Certificate in Integrated Brand Experience (IBX).

Young Onome started out singing in the choir at the tender age of 9 where she was known as "the girl with the golden voice”. Initially, music was to her, an escape from reality as a lonely girl. Little did she know that it would be an induction into a new type of reality that would ignite her passion.

In 2008, ONANOME started working in Shell as a vocalist for the company’s club house. Under her portfolio, she has features in movies, broadway musicals and a solo performance at the World Economic Forum, Davios Switzerland in 2014. She has also worked as a backing vocalist to countless mainstream Nigerian artistes, lead female vocalist of various popular bands in the Nigerian live music scene, alongside running her personal band, D'Supreem band.

Another notable achievement of hers was her role as an official background vocalist on the popular musical TV show: "PROJECT FAME".

As a recording artiste, she has released singles titled "BETA" and "TAKE A RIDE" amongst other songs. She describes music as her life and identity.

With her solid background in the music industry, ONANOME is set to keep taking the world by storm until she becomes everyone's personal favorite just as is implied by her stage name: ONANOME which means THIS IS MY OWN.
