ABOUT

Hi, I'm Lauren, I am an artist, a session guitarist and bassist, and studio engineer/songwriter based around London and South East England. I am 19 years old, but despite my young age have spent over half my life making music, and have since leaving school aged 16 amassed a heavy amount of experience as a live guitarist and bassist in the London DIY gig scene.

To give a brief history of some of my work to date, in 2021, I joined the live band of upcoming London alternative artist Charlie Barker (charliexbarker), as her live and studio guitarist and MD. We played our first show with this project in June 2022 after a year of self directed development behind the scenes, and have gone on to play sold out shows including headlines at the New Cross Inn and Old Blue Last, and support slots for the likes of GIRLI and The Big Pink in 2023.

From March - May last year I filled in as guitarist for East London Folk/Psych Rock artist Scarlett Woolfe, playing a short notice run of 4 shows in venues such as The Shacklewell Arms and The Victoria Dalston, learning the set in less than a week.

Also in 2023, I recorded, arranged and produced the debut single of my two piece project Fig Tree, called "Ad Nauseam", alongside my best friend Romilly.

Early in 2024 I also took on a short run of shows with North London Glitch Rock project Cosmorat, as their keyboardist, playing to sold out rooms in London and Manchester.

Currently, I am living away from London in Brighton, and have just completed the first year of my Songwriting degree at Waterbear The College of Music, after graduating from my two year extended diploma course in Music Production at ACM Guildford with a Distinction.

I am looking for more live experience, and therefore want to join committed, professional band or artist projects in need of Guitarists and Bassists, preferably rehearsing and gigging regularly, or with solid plans to do so soon.
