Hello I am the drummer in a band called SWARM...probably one of the busiest and successful cover bands in greater London. So if you wanted to see me play you could easily come to one of our weekly gigs. We only play covers, but in our own original way and differently every night. It's like non-generic jazz in that it is our interpretation of pretty much anything from Elvis to Kings of Leonand in all genres. Problem is, after seven years, I’m bored and I'm looking for some new original projects. email me some links to your myspace address and if you're good I would like to jam/gig/record with you. I’m a young looking 35 with my own kits and cars and I manage a studio in Chessington so we can get rehearsal time at cost price. I’ve been a drummer for 21 years. I make all my moolah from drumming - I’m a full time drum teacher when I’m not in the studio or gigging. I’ve also been a poet for more than 20 years so I can turn out very good lyrics. i also do a fair job of backing vocs
I don't even mind if you are just one person with skill looking to make a writing team (like Gavin Harrison and o5ric) or if you are an established group with a drummer shaped hole in it. what I’m NOT looking for is anything that does not require massive creative input from me or anything where I’m going to have to wait around for one or two members to brush up on their skills. I don't need my ego stroked and I’m too old to pamper other's egos either. I’m looking for no nonsense musicianship and if it's good enough I will happily play for free.
this is not something I need (as my band is currently turning work away), it is something I want. Don't worry that I won't have time for your project. I’m a busy man and that's how I like it.
And no druggy alcoholics either please - at least until after the work's been done.
