ABOUT

Looking for keyboard (&trumpet) to join our band .......

I am currently playing drums for a recently formed band (Vintage Brew 3) with female and male vocals, lead & rhythm guitar and bass ... That's them in my profile photo (lovely bunch).

We are looking for a keyboard (& trumpet?) player to add that extra dimension to songs from soul and disco, to pop and rock.

Our Spotify playlist gives an idea of the direction we are going in. I couldn't get the Spotify link to work from this site, so instead open the Spotify App and search "Geoff's BD". It's the playlist that starts with 'Midnight in Harlem'

The videos that I have uploaded so far (to Bandmix) are bands I am currently in (Skolstanki, Weird Fishes' and Vintage Brew) and a pop-rock band I was in until 2019 (The Happy Fridays).

My back story .....
I have been drumming on and off since school days (45 years ago). In the last 15-20 years I have been practicing regularly each week, with at least one band, and gigging from time to time, doing covers from pop, to indie.and classic rock, and more recently disco and soul.

I don't read music but have developed my own feel, and enjoy those songs that have a bit of room to express oneself.

Happy to play along to backing tracks and have a Roland Sampling pad to give the band extra sounds.

Now I can see that it's getting a bit random (that's not a band, just me explaining myself) but here's some more .... Hot House Flowers, Vintage Trouble .... and at the age of 59 I've just got into Pearl Jam (never too late, I am told)
