Hi all,

I'm the lead guitarist for a four piece Cover/function band that have been going for about two years now. We have had plenty of gigs both pubs and private functions. However for the future we kind of want to move away from the generic the pub scene and move more into weddings, corporate events and private parties, as from experience this seems to be a more beneficial and enjoyable market.

Unfortunately we have recently lost two of our members; Bassist and a Drummer. This was not due to personal issues and we still remain close friends with both of them, but for the band to move on and progress it needed to happen.

So it now leaves just the two of us:
Lead Singer: Courtney
Lead guitarist: Chris

We have a large (but in need of changing and growing) repertoire of songs ranging from
Rock n roll - Led Zeppelin to Sweet dreams - Eurythmics.

However we do wish to grow our set list into other genres like pop, funk, soul, R & B as we have predominately been doing a lot of rock. We are always trying to add our own twist on songs, so it's still familiar to the audience, but is a little bit different to what they're used to.

If you would like to become a member you must;
- Have your own transport.
- Be no younger than 21.
- Have decent equipment that would suitable for gigs.
- Have a dedicated, hardworking and above all professional attitude.
- Be able to take knock backs. For example, gig rejection.
- Be willing to practice at least once a week.
- Be willing to spend time and money on promotional material e.g. banner, business cards, photos,
videos, demos, wedding fairs.
- Help organize gigs.
- Be willing to join an agency.
- Must pay there share for a rehearsal studio. Usually no more than £10 each.

Obviously in an ideal world all of us would like to be full time musicians, but to get that point it takes hard work and knock backs in the short term, but in the long term it pays off.

This may seem a little bit strict, but it is merely guidelines to help and assist the progress of the band.
