Singer-songwriter and instrumental ambient musician recording under the name Unusualnumber50, looking to join a band to rehearse, record and to support me with my anxiety about gigging. Looking for sympathetic people only as this is due to some extent to a long-term medical condition.
I have however worked extensively with multitrack recording hardware and software to create my own recordings and I am currently undertaking an Open University OpenLearn course on the history and techniques of recording.

Influences
Including everything from The Beatles, The Kinks, The Doors and other 60s rock and the 90s resurgence of this through bands like Blur, Oasis and Kula Shaker.
I am also influenced by everything from Mike Oldfield and Jean Michel Jarre and Brian Eno to David Bowie, The Jam, Paul Weller and solo work by John Lennon and George Harrison, Wings and Paul Mc Cartney,
Progressive Rock groups like Yes, Genesis and Rush coupled with Steven Wilson’s extensive discography particularly early-to mid period Porcupine Tree.
These touch the tip of an iceberg of influences from a variety of musical genres and I am only too happy to add new influences and discover music that is new to me.
