Band to Join, Other, Other Percussion.

I'm a drummer who likes all sorts of music and plays all sorts of music. I've played in rock/metal bands, a live D'n'B group, musicals, but my main training is as a big band drummer: After starting off in youth big band Jambone, I played in the Cambridge University Big Band and am joining the Imperial College Big Band in the near future. I'm well-rated when it comes to sight-reading charts, and have jammed a lot of the standards along the way.

I'm up for playing pretty much anything in music, and have done plenty of recording so am more than comfortable with click tracks and playing under pressure. I like efficient rehearsals and jamming live. If pushed I'd probably rate Latin and Funk music as my favourite to play, but technical/polyrhythmic metal is also great fun. But if the music is good then I'm always up for playing it, and am happy taking the back seat.

Aside from bands, if you're a drummer/percussionist I'd really enjoy percussion groups/double drums (I've written a few pieces out which I'd love to play with a group duo).
