Robin is looking for recruits to join an exciting new band playing original music of a genre-defying "Contemporary Cross-cultural Dance Music" nature, inspired primarily by Celtic dance music, Flamenco, and Indian Classical music. Instruments sought are: Fiddle, Mandola/Bouzuki, Cello, Percussion, Bass, Guitar, Didgeridoo, Squeeze Box, and anything else that might fit. Robin's main instruments are various sizes of recorder, of a particular make that has a more flute-like sound than most. He also plays transverse flutes, guitar, bass, and a certain amount of percussion. He is looking for proficient and reliable people to work with. There are already several people interested and "on-board" to varying degrees, and he wants to create a "pool" of musicians so as to cover different performing contexts, and allow flexibility in terms of commitment. The primary focus of the band is live performance in various contexts, including pubs and art centres, and in particular for people to dance to. If this sounds attractive to you, please get in touch!
