SEEKING
Band to Join, Drums.ABOUT
After 40 years of playing guitar, last year I got asked to dep at short notice for a mate’s band - on bass! I really liked it, bought some bass gear and am now seeking a band that needs a bass player.
I can play most of the songs covers bands have in their setlist, but I like to learn the songs beforehand as my ability to busk on the bass isn’t as advanced as it is on guitar. But, short of being asked to be Geddy Lee in a Rush tribute band, I can handle most situations.
I am not interested in bands playing original material. Rock covers ONLY.
I’m looking for a band that is up and running and gigging. I’m not looking for a band that can’t figure out how to make the leap from the rehearsal studio to the stage.
The music examples are things I played all the instruments for - so the bass you hear is me! (as are the guitars, drums, keyboards and samples, etc)

Trading Places Theme
Trading Places Theme Genre: Classic Rock
This is the theme tune I wrote for an internet game show about investing in shares called Trading Places. I programmed the drums and played bass and all the different guitar parts. The harmony guitar parts at the very end are my tribute to the Allman Brother's Jessica! (Top Gear theme tune)

Board Talk theme
Board Talk theme Genre: Jazz
A theme I wrote for an internet chat show featuring chief executives of FTSE-listed companies. I played all the instruments, and arranged the horn parts, recording them through a MIDI keyboard.

Highway to Hull
Highway to Hull Genre: Classic Rock
I once worked at an internet company where a spotty youth made an online advert for the company but used AC/DC's Highway to Hell as a soundtrack, not realising this might incite the ire of AC/DC's lawyers. So I recorded this in the spirit of that track but to ensure we didn't get sued.
