im 22 years old. i play guitar and sing to rather high levels. im extremely dedicated to the playing and creation of music. iv been in 2 bands, one pop punk and one soft rock/rock pop. both had a quite a large amount of success and interest from labels but i left both bands due to lack of commitment from other members. I have a large writing range and ill try and list as many influences as i can. I have a large understanding of the music industry and have an awful lot of contacts but my main problem isn't knowing how to get gigs/tours/signed etc, it's finding the right band members to make the music with :/
im interested in making music with no set genre. if someone is writing a pop song, thats what it is. if someone is writing a drop A prog metal song. thats what it'll be. no boundaries with regards to genre as it'll allow more freedom and be more original. it does mean you should be rather proficient on your instrument and be able to compliment any song written.
now to clarify a little fib, im not based in the UK right now. I have family in birmingham so i just picked that for the site. im based in ireland. HOWEVER. if the right musicians were available in the UK as i dont think they are here then i would have no problem relocating whatsoever.
i suppose i should mention i've done a two year course in music technology and advanced media production.
