ABOUT

Maria’s In Wonderland (lyrics) - Ode To Romantic Joy

A silver bell butterfly,
Clowned in the garden,
Telling a tale of a dreamer she'd known,
A boy from the roundabout,
The sword in the stone,
Beauty in fear of her convent school home,

Her spinning wheel finger,
Enticing the dreamer,
To live in her love letter's lyrical lines,
Her old-fashioned melodies,
A song of the times,
History foretelling tomorrow's designs,

There like a flower,
Choosing the name,
The ivory tower,
Sharing the blame,
And our latest arrivals,
A hope in survival,
The festival throng will remain,

So...
Down in the dock of the bay we built,
To love eternally,
Her Lady Maiden Majesty's Glory's Ship,
The Saviour's Victory,

And...
Down in the dock of the bay we built,
The Champion Of The Free,
Her Lady Maiden Majesty's Glory's Ship,
To The Glory that was She!

Maria in Wonderland's,
Face in the mirror,
A fantasy born of a dream in the night,
In life as in fairytales,
A damsel in fright,
Memories awakening love at first sight,

There like a flower,
All she became,
The glass and the hour,
The paper and flame,
One summer's day season,
A date and a reason,
A little girl lived down the lane,

So...
Down in the dock of the bay we built,
To love eternally,
Her Lady Maiden Majesty's Glory's Ship,
The Saviour's Victory,

And...
Down in the dock of the bay we built,
The Champion Of The Free,
Her Lady Maiden Majesty's Glory's Ship,
To The Glory that was She!

Singing cockles and mussels,
Alive, alive oh...

Oh, Daisy Daisy,
Only that half were true,
I'm half crazy,
All for the love of you,
If the portrait in my pocket,
Were the flag upon your rocket,
We'd make it there,
Without a care,
On a bicycle made for two,

Her dreaming hero looked right down,
Upon a lantern's lighthouse,
Left his ring upon her bush,
Yonder by the Rose White House,
Gloria,
Ding Dong Merrily on high,
Hose Angel in excelsius,

So...
They whipped, and they stripped, and they hung him on high,
They whipped, and they stripped, and they hung him on high,
They whipped, and they stripped, and they hung him out to dry.
Down in San Francisco,

For he's a Jolly Good Roger,
For he's a Jolly Good Roger,
For he's a Jolly Good Roger,
And so say all of us,
And so say all of us,
And so say all of us,
For he's a Jolly Good Roger,
And so say all of us,

So we'll put her in a net and hook the rafters,
Put her in a net and hook the rafters,
Put her in a net and hook the rafters,
Ally in the morning,
Singing aye, aye and up she rises,
Aye aye and up she rises,
Aye aye and up she rises,
Ally in the morning light,

Fred in dread of Steven,
Go deep and crisp and even,
A steeplejack and whiskey demon,

Kevin kissed his army,
A robin song salami,
Abel Irish Kingstone blarney,

A tent pole sonic Adam,
A genie bottle Madam,
A Holly treason's Armageddon,

A jungle jubilation,
Buy Mean Joe's 'oody doom car,
A Wacky Racer's ovulation,

Mahesh yogi guru,
Rasputin steeple hairdo,
A lady killer Moonwalk Jesu,

Houdini Hindustani,
The never ending story,
A heathen for a Heaven's hormone,

A slice of schistum chasm,
A marching for our glory,
Together in the ‘evil’ omen,

Imago Iron Maiden,
Apocalypse a lunar,
Spread-eagled for the Tower raven,

Thine is the Kingdom,
O' Moby Dick the hoodlum,
Forever and ever amen,

Thine is the Kingdom,
The never ending story,
Forever and ever amen,

Thine is the Kingdom,
The flower Jackanory,
Forever and ever amen,

She is the egg head,
Fabergé true blue,
Wonder,
I am the egg dread,
Holiday wild blue,
Yonder,

Celebration Friday,,
Cupid Ruby True's dei,
Never to believe the light,
In Eve Aladdin's Lamp,
Or the ladybird lover's tramp,

Now a tea party butterfly,
Drowns in the garden,
Telling the tale of the dreamer she'd known,
A fan fevered joust-about,
Our Parliament's own,
There in the circus her poppy field throne,

Here in the tower,
All I can claim,
The pocket and power,
To paper her name,
A hayride and season,
The pencil case reason,
A little girl lived down the lane,

And she'll forever dwell in Eden's Garden,
Amen,
Amen,

She Was Beautiful (lyrics)

She was beautiful,
Beautiful like the sun,
And the first time,
I saw her,
The World had yet to come,

She was so beautiful there to behold,
That the moonlight passing by,
Defined her,
And designed her,
In the shadows of the sky,

She was beautiful,
Beautiful like the sun,
And the first time,
I saw her,
Our lives had just begun,

She was so colourful carefree and wild,
That my calling was her flame,
But the time passed,
To love's last,
Only memories remain,

She was beautiful,
Beautiful like the sun,
And the first time,
I saw her,
I knew what love had done,

There among it’s scattered helpers,
Lost among the fallout shelters,
Where the fearful tread the wilds,
And where she was beautiful,
When she was freedom's child,

Now a heart beats in the candlelight air,
By the words born of a song,
Did she hear me,
Or fear me,
Would you tell me if I’m wrong?

She was beautiful,
Beautiful like the sun,
And the first time,
I saw her,
The World had yet to come,

Did the time pass in the still of the night?
Did I realise far too late,
How she wired me,
Inspired me,
Was it destiny or fate?

For it was magic,
And she was beautiful,
Beautiful,
Beautiful,
Far too beautiful to be mine,

Maiden Starlight (lyrics)

Stardust,
Maiden starlight,
The leading lady’s mesmerising gaze,
Ornate antennal eyebrows,
And somewhere, someday, somehow,
A song of love a nightingale plays,

All the images eternal,
The imagery internal,
A butterfly of love on summer days,

A willow tree in motion,
Your lacewing locomotion,
Your colours are the flowers all ablaze,

Stardust,
Maiden starlight,
It’s true that you’re a scintillating sight,
So delicate a quotient,
Alive in every moment,
Your skin is such a daydream's shade of white,

An indelible impression,
Incredible possession,
The orchestral manoeuvres in the night,

Are rocking, rolling, riding,
And truly love abiding,
They’re everything you’re hiding from the light,

Stardust,
Maiden starlight,
Was Heaven’s Halloween the thing I blame?
A desperate desire,
Or inspiration's fire,
You made it all a fountain from a flame,

A musical solution,
No mere passing tears illusion,
Our New Year’s resolutions are the same,

They’re raindrops caught in thunder,
The spell I've fallen under,
That's why it’s been so wonderful you came,

I Went To See My 'Wife' One Day (lyrics)

I went to see my ‘wife’ one day,
But she was on the phone they say,
Called her number anyway,
But she’s was surfing in the bay,

I called her father on the phone,
But he was in the twilight zone,
I took her flowers anyway,
She gave them to the garden gnome,

I went to see my ‘wife’ one day,
Cause I was not at home they say,
When I told her anyway,
She packed her things and ran away,

Her car was like a limousine,
My bicycle was never seen,
In my mind, I had a dream,
To catch her on the village green,

I live in town on Saturday,
But I don’t have a job today,
All I had I threw away,
A broken-hearted clown today,

I went to see my ‘wife’ one day,
Cause I was not at home they say,
When I told her anyway,
She packed her things and ran away,

I learned how to communicate,
The art of he who hesitates,
But my lover wouldn’t wait,
She gave away our wedding cake,

I’m losing to the enemy,
But I was also young and free,
A magic dragon sailed to sea,
And stole my personality,

I went to see my ‘wife’ one day,
Cause I was not at home they say,
When I told her anyway,
She packed her things and ran away,

She Was Beautiful (lyrics)

An Apple Tree (lyrics)

I once read a story,
‘An enchanted wood’,
And it was a book of all that’s nature’s good,
And all these living things,
For all who live in dreams,

And far beyond the human garden,
Life is all around,
Living things are found,
Like a honeybee,
And an apple tree,
In a place, I’d rather be,

I once read a story,
On the stars at night,
And it was a book about the inner light,
And all these living things,
For all who live in dreams,

And far beyond the human garden,
Life is all around,
Living things are found,
Like a honeybee,
And an apple tree,
In a place, I’d rather be,

I once read a story,
On the living sky,
And it was a book about the birds that fly,
And all these living things,
For all who live in dreams,

And far beyond the human garden,
Life is all around,
Living things are found,
Like a honeybee,
And an apple tree,
In a place, I’d rather be,

And far beyond the human garden,
Life is everywhere,
Life itself is there,
Like a honeybee,
And an apple tree,
In a place for you and me,

I Cling To A Lifeline (lyrics)

Love is a dream that arises,
In stories, we know,
The children's school plays,
Bright sunny days,
The playgrounds, we filled with surprises,

But what will remain of my memories,
Those beautiful times,
The music I breathe,
And still, believe,
Isn’t the life that they sent me,

And it’s been a lifetime,
I’ve never been free,
I cling to a lifeline,
Knowing the truth is it must be me,

Love is a rose and a junkie,
A paradise lost,
It’s that kind of need,
All that we bleed,
Growing as wild as the country,

And songs that remain in the quarry,
A Norwegian Wood,
The lovelorn parades,
Fairytale maids,
I'm sure when they’re gone, we will all be sorry,

And it’s been a lifetime,
I’ve never been free,
I cling to a lifeline,
Knowing the truth is it must be me,

Yes, if it’s you,
Yes, it is true,
Yes, it is true, that I know you well,

The Ghost Of Christmas Past (lyrics)

Originals of all my cares,
An old collection by the stairs,
The story of our lives was there,

A log-on cabin room to spare,
The revolutions leading there,
A story built on Berkeley Square,

I am the ghost of Christmas past,
A memory,
I am the ghost of Christmas,
That you sent to me,

I am the ghost of Christmas past,
The century,
I am the ghost of Christmas,
In the woods you see,

The living room’s a hideaway,
A house of fun but I’m okay,
The story of a winter’s day,

The mantelpiece a fine display,
A Christmas past as I would say,
So long ago and far away,

I am the ghost of Christmas past,
A memory,
I am the ghost of Christmas,
That you sent to me,

I am the ghost of Christmas past,
The century,
I am the ghost of Christmas,
In the woods you see,

The winter's ice a snowman's crown,
And garden birds are back in town,
A choir still so well renowned,

They're frozen in the patio,
A fossil frog and snail I know,
Alive and living long ago,

I am the ghost of Christmas past,
A memory,
I am the ghost of Christmas,
Present melody,

I am the ghost of Christmas past,
The century,
I am the ghost of Christmas,
That you couldn't see,

I am the ghost of Christmas past,
A friend you see,
I am the ghost of Christmas,
Yet to come you see,

The Answer’s Always: “No” (lyrics)

Every other day it rains,
And many other days remain,
And I may be here for a long, long time,
But it always ends the same,

Every other day I sleep,
On many other days, I leap,
And I may be here for a friend of mine,
But I’ll always leave a heap,

And you have a friend,
It’s true,
And I’m here again,
Like you,
And you have a friend called loneliness,
No matter what you do,

And you have a friend,
And foe,
The way they come and go,
And you have a friend called loneliness,
And even though you do your best,
The answer’s always: “No”,

Every day, I think of her,
And so I’ll carry on,
Even on the brink with her,
I know she won’t be long,

Every other day I pay,
So many other days I say,
And I may be here and I may be fine,
But it never goes away,

And you have a friend,
It’s true,
And I’m here again,
Like you,
And you have a friend called loneliness,
No matter what you do,

And you have a friend,
And foe,
The way they come and go,
And you have a friend called loneliness,
And even though you do your best,
The answer’s always: “No”,

A Friend Who Walks Right In (lyrics)

There’s a bed, a table, and some chairs,
In a room without a view,
For a friend that you once knew,
In your childhood days,
One among the runaways,
Somebody like you,

And the landlord is a millionaire,
Of that, he’s well aware,
And the house of evil’s over there,
That’s why you’ll never win,

So it’s home for the night,
Leaving coins for the light,
And a friend walks right in,

There’s a door, a cooker, and some smoke,
And a feeling you won’t last,
Well, a drop out knows the cast,
Of the worldly wise,
Did you ever realise?
Destiny’s the past,

And the landlord is a millionaire,
Of that, he’s well aware,
And the house of evil’s over there,
That’s why you’ll never win,

So it’s home for the night,
Leaving coins for the light,
And a friend who walks right in,

There’s a floor, a ceiling, and a light,
And a studio downstairs,
But there’s no-one you can phone,
You will find yourself alone,
In another crowd,
And they’re very loud,
They are quite at home,

And the landlord is a millionaire,
Of that, he’s well aware,
And the house of evil’s over there,
That’s why you’ll never win,

So it’s home for the night,
Leaving coins for the light,
And a friend who settled in,

Mirror, Mirror On The Wall (lyrics)

Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
That’s the wonder of it all,
Love is only in the way,
Life is wonderful,

Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Where a Dorian will fall,
Love is all an overlay,
Lies are one and all,

Is this my face?
Is this my fate?
I can't even dream,
And love will never wait,

Is this my choice?
Is this my voice?
I can't even speak,
A lover lost in noise,

Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Where the autumn leaves will fall,
Love is all so overplayed,
Trees so very tall,

Is this my face?
Is this my fate?
I can't even dream,
And love will never wait,

Is this my choice?
Is this my voice?
I can't even speak,
A lover lost in noise,

They’re sure to run a mile,
And she can't even smile,
The mechanics of the Bone Age,
And the politic of style,

Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
When the future comes to call,
Love is all that's left today,
Life, a waterfall,

Is this my face?
Is this my fate?
I can't even dream,
And love will never wait,

Is this my choice?
Is this my voice?
I can't even speak,
A lover lost in noise,

The Universe (lyrics)

Born to freedom’s story,
All that history left behind,
The Universe; its sweetest verse,
The cause upon my mind,

Born of freedom's glory,
To a question born in time,
The Universe; in all its words,
The calling I would find,

And it’s all,
Of the things she said,
And it’s all,
In the lines, I read,

And it's all,
For the grateful dead,
And it's all,
For her graceful head,

Born like freedom's children,
To the prison's we've refined,
The Universe; so unrehearsed,
A sky so well designed,

And it’s all,
Of the things she said,
And it’s all,
In the lines, I read,

And it's all,
For the grateful dead,
And it's all,
For her graceful head,

To count upon a galaxy of stars at play,
And it’s still love's favourite road,
To catch her with a melody another summer’s day,
And it’s still love's favourite code,

Born to freedom's story,
And the fountain springs to mind,
The Universe I'd welcome most,
A mountain we must climb,

And it’s all,
Of the things she said,
And it’s all,
In the lines, I read,

And it's all,
For the grateful dead,
And it's all,
For her graceful head,

Maria’s Garden (lyrics)

A silver bell butterfly,
Clowned in the garden,
Telling a tale of a dreamer she'd known,
A boy from the roundabout,
A sword in her stone,
Beauty in fear of her convent school home,

And if she’s wondering,
To an enchanting valley trail,
She’ll go wandering,
In the mystery through the veil,

And otherworldly creatures,
Will adorn,
A summer's tale,

Her spinning wheel finger,
Enticing the dreamer,
To live in her love letter's lyrical lines,
Her old-fashioned melodies,
A song of the times,
History foretelling tomorrow's designs,

And if she’s wondering,
To the honeycomb above?
She’ll go wondering,
For the diamonds weren't his love,

And otherworldly creatures,
Aren't forlorn,
They fall in love,

Maria in Wonderland's,
Face in the mirror,
A fantasy born of a dream in the night,
In life as in fairytales,
A damsel in fright,
Memories awakening love at first sight,

And if she’s wandering,
Around the village late at night,
She’ll go wondering,
To the glow worms in her light,

And otherworldly creatures,
Aren’t just born,
They’re out of sight,

A version of Maria's Garden I wrote when I was ill, but I personally understand it, but I'm not sure about it as a viable song: -

Freedom

Freedom's stolen birds,
Of a feather,
Ornamental living words,
Are forever,
And the popular front will be laughing,
At a banquet of beggars and staffing,

If they'd known me,
Why disown me?
For the ‘foreigners’ in town,
For all, that's falling down,

As the origin of reason,
Becomes the reason’s knives,
While the origin of freedom,
Is all of freedom’s lives,

Freedom's came awake,
Without legroom,
In some kind of broken home’s,
Army bedroom,
And the inmate’s the portrait I’m seeing,
‘till the end of the world, she’s been fleeing,

An insider,
Stands beside her,
Lost and losing to the board,
Lost and losing to a fraud,

As the origin of reason,
Becomes the reason’s knives,
While the origin of freedom,
Is all of freedom’s lives,

Freedom's painted host,
Giving orders,
In the letters that we post,
Over borders,
For the people and lovers arriving,
Do we still have our hope in surviving?

My adviser,
Are you wiser?
On the merry roundabout,
Where the truth is inside out,

As the origin of reason,
Becomes the reason’s knives,
While the origin of freedom,
Is all of freedom’s lives,

That Wonderful Machine (lyrics)

Love is a garden,
Her favourite place,
And the feeling is one,
That her daydreams will chase,
There beyond the linen and the lace,
The human and the race,

Love is a garden,
Her favourite case,
I’ve a feeling she’ll run,
From the data and base,
Where beyond the wonders they'd replace,
She’ll vanish without trace,

The paperback I find,
That someone’s always writing in,

A power cord and screen,
And someone’s an inviting thing,

How beautiful and blind,
And someone’s always hiding in,
That wonderful machine,

Love is a garden,
Her favourite tree,
And the freedom she won,
In a musical key,
Far beyond the trolley and the tea,
A serviette and me,

The paperback I find,
That someone’s always writing in,

A power cord and screen,
And someone’s an inviting thing,

How beautiful and blind,
And someone’s always hiding in,
That wonderful machine,

The Stranger’s Trade (lyrics)

A fantasy of life's
Emotion,
Reality in flight,
An ocean,
To begin a conversation,
With a spark of pure light,
And it’s all the world,
In motion,

This is the strangest night,
This is a stranger’s right,
And I’m a stranger,
Here, in a stranger’s light,

Here where a stranger played,
This is the stranger’s trade,
And I’m a stranger,
Here where a stranger prayed,

The calm before the storm,
Forewarning,
Reality alights,
By falling,
And something seems to happen,
When I’m wondering at night,
As if all the world,
Were calling,

This is the strangest night,
This is a stranger’s right,
And I’m a stranger,
Here, in a stranger's light,

Here where a stranger played,
This is the stranger’s trade,
And I’m a stranger,
Here where a stranger prayed,

The fire in the lake,
Awoken,
Reality in sight,
Heartbroken,
And something so uncertain,
In the outcome fears the height,
As if all the world,
Had spoken,

This is the strangest night,
This is a stranger’s right,
And I’m a stranger,
Here, in a stranger's light,

Here where a stranger played,
This is the stranger’s trade,
And I’m a stranger,
Here where a stranger prayed,

East Of Eden’s Trailblazing Highs (lyrics)

The people we adore,
At last,
A past that washed ashore,
Becomes a song,
How I found the carry-on,
About each other,
And the truly mad will always need a lover,

Looking for directions in the trailblazing highs,

Mutiny the bountiful,
Pen in flight; a fountain full,
West of England’s fame,

Hoping for the magical,
In the stars; Angelical,
East of Eden’s name,

Mercy being beautiful,
Rainbows in the waterfall,
West of England’s flame,

Beyond an open door,
The art,
The part that I adore,
Will come along:
“Hey, we might have got it wrong”,
About each other,
And it’s true some people really do recover,

Looking for directions in the trailblazing highs,

Ash and dustbin recollections,
In the pastel shadowed skies,
Looking for confessions,
As we cross forbidden skies,
While confusing our connection,
With the colours in our eyes,

Holding on to gravity's,
All in one agility,
East of Eden’s shame,

Merry minted icicle,
Diamonds in her fragile fall,
West of England’s frame,

Holding on to liberty’s,
All enchanting mystery,
East of Eden’s blame,

The Daily Fallen Tree (lyrics)

To the rest of the World, I belong,
I’m at home,
On the Moon,
Hear the gallery’s song,

I’m alone,
With a tune,
That my memories long, to be mine,
Sweet virtues and dreams,
If you know what I mean,
Didn’t anyone see me this time?

Somebody else and the holidays free,
Somebody else who’s still looking for me,
Somebody else in the dragonfly’s pond,
Somebody else and she’s so far beyond,
The Daily Fallen Tree,

To the rest of the world one and all,
I’m renowned,
It’s a joke,
When a Valerie calls,

I’m in town,
Hey, she spoke!
With a melody honed, into wine,
Devices and means,
Are the matter it seems,
Did anyone see her this time,

Somebody else in the blanket she stole,
Somebody else an unfortunate soul,
Somebody else in the beauty salon,
Somebody else who’ll be gazing upon,
The Daily Fallen Tree,

Duvet Diamond (lyrics)

Do you know how it feels?
To know something is real,
That even the duvet diamond,
Has a feather to steal,

Did you vote in her cause?
Did you notice her flaws?
It’s one of her favourite feelings,
When you’re opening doors,

I know that she’s milk and honey,
I’m sure there’s a man with money,
Would you believe one summer she was mine?

And doesn’t a manic Monday,
Seem like it’s almost Sunday,
I see she’s lost in once upon a time,

Did she come here to hide?
Did she come for the ride?
To enter the beauty contest,
Is a matter of pride,

Did she open your eyes?
Did she open the prize?
Was it the old Maltesers?
For the flowering bride,

I know that she’s milk and honey,
I’m sure there’s a man with money,
Would you believe one summer she was mine?

And doesn’t a manic Monday,
Seem like it’s almost Sunday,
I see she’s lost in once upon a time,

Once Upon A Time On Planet Earth (lyrics)

Once upon a time,
A song we played,
The plans we made,
A glass of lemonade,

Once upon a time,
A nine to five,
I came alive,
The strong alone survive,

Once upon a time,
I came this way,
A shade of grey,
Thoughts that lead astray,

To the World on Planet Earth Day,
I wish you Happy Birthday!
To the dancing queen,
A playground dream,
All the World I’ve seen,

Once upon a time,
Her blues were suede,
A moment weighed,
A worldwide masquerade,

Once upon a time,
The summer haze,
The bridleways,
Those lazy crazy days,

Once upon a time,
The pale moonlight,
The candlelight,
A story we could write,

To the World on Planet Earth Day,
I wish you Happy Birthday!
For a stranger's jeans,
The movie scenes,
Islands in the stream,

Once upon a time,
A song I knew,
Belonged to you,
And words that rang so true,

Once upon a time,
A Valentine,
The daydream’s mine,
The days of old lang syne,

Once upon a time,
Her painted face,
Her pencil case,
A smile so out of place,

To the World on Planet Earth Day,
I wish you Happy Birthday!
For the lean machine,
A laser beam,

The Odd One Out – I Love Your Name (lyrics)

You’re the odd one out,
There in the danger zone,
You must be strong,
You’re facing the world alone,

Nobody knows you,
There’s nobody else the same,
This is your life,
I love your name,

You’re the odd one out,
Yours are a stranger’s clothes,
You don’t belong,
Behind any doors, that close,

Nobody likes you,
It’s somebody else’s game,
This is your life,
I love your name,

You’re the odd one out,
You’ll never believe it though,
Life is a song,
You’ll write for the radio,

Nobody looks that way,
You’re nobody else’s strain,
This is your life,
I love your name,

You’re the odd one out,
That everyone knows about,
You’ll carry on,
I’m sure you can work it out,

Nobody knows you,
There’s nobody else to blame,
This is your life,
I love your name,

I Don’t Believe (lyrics)

A stranger among those who never spoke,
At all,
The danger in the walls they built to stoke,
It all,
I remember nothing,
I remember no-one,
I remember losing to the free-for-all,

And…
I don’t believe in trees,
I don’t believe in keys,
I don’t believe in tapestry degrees,

A stranger among those who will not hear,
The head,
The people with the faces that you fear,
To dread,
I remember nothing,
I remember no-one,
I remember almost everything they said,

And…
I don’t believe the load,
I don’t believe the ode,
I don’t believe the long and winding road,

A stranger among those who slander creeps,
Below,
The danger in a wall imprisoned freaks’,
Chateau,
I remember nothing,
I remember no-one,
I remember that it happened very long ago,

And…
I don't believe I knew,
The many from the few,
I don’t believe there’s anyone like you,

The Bell Tower (lyrics)

I see all the lonely people,
Never their house of stone,
That other than reasons,
I’ll have known,
Became the belfry treacle,

And who could face them all?
The good, the bad, and legal,
A house about to fall,

If only their steely
Knives have known,
There’s no-one left to call,

A natural of the nation,
Never her kingdom’s crown,
That other than being,
For its clown,
Denied it's bright creation,

And who would miss that cross?
The sad, a glad revival,
The candy girl and floss,

They’re all that her fleeting,
Lives have known,
Though no-one feels their loss,

I live in the awe and wonder,
Born to the dying stars,
That other than likeness,
Life alone,
A birthday more like thunder,

And who would miss their light?
They would, the good, I wonder,
That awe-inspiring sight,

Though all bar the radio,
Birds have flown,
And no-one said goodnight,

Oliver’s Twisted Sister (lyrics)

A sweet charade,
It’s her parade,
Oliver's twisted sister's blade,
Marinade,
Masquerade,
Melody Maker's mistress,
Masking Mascara De Sade,

She’ll steal the light,
She's very bright,
Oliver's twisted sister's knight,
Final score,
Fatal flaw,
Melody Maker's midriff,
Made her conquest at the door,

There in the dark,
A deeper spark,
Oliver's twisted sister's lark,
Taking flight,
Parking lights,
Melody Maker's piston,
Pulls his Levi's on the stripes,

Beyond the pale,
A kite and tale,
Behind the ploy,
A real joy,
To be thinking of a lacewing trousered,
Lady to annoy,

And paradise,
My only vice,
Oliver's twisted sister's price,
Fantasy,
Holly Tree,
Melody Maker's mischief,
Made a stocking bird as free,

The Cradled Dream (lyrics)

She was sleeping,
I'm still dreaming,
Lost in the memory,
Of all that I found there,
Somewhere,
In a time when I knew her,
In moments awoken,
Long ago,

And I will never say,
Never again,
To her heart,
Never say,
Never again,
To the part,
Or the cradled dream departs,

But if the love lines,
Are the right lines,
Can a love song,
Lost in a desert,
Reach out,
Immersed in its meaning,
Beyond where the feelings,
Still, reside,

Knowing only the words,
On a song sheet arrayed,
Knowing only the words,
On a song sheet, we made,
As they all fade into grey,

And when the dark lines,
Measure and mark time,
Can the lover,
Though scorned and a stranger,
Shine on,
Never fearing betrayal,
With all that is hateful,
Cast aside?

And I will never say,
Never again,
To her heart,
Never say,
Never again,
To the part,
Or the cradled dream departs,

She was sleeping,
I'm still dreaming,
If she’s out there...

New World Children – (lyrics)

I came upon the kind who drown,
You wouldn’t ask me why,
Pretty faces all around,
Like wedding bells passed by,

But how is a spirit freed?
When Heaven’s a title deed?

A winter in a haunted town,
Where snow fell from the sky,
For the strangers'’ underground,
Whose kind of soldiers die,

And now there’s a growing seed,
But nothing has been agreed,

I’m lonely,
And words are in the way,
If only!
And words aren’t all they say,
The children came today,
The children came to stay,
The children came to play,

My eyes became a foreign frown,
You wouldn’t ask me why,
Mind machines are falling down,
Their wellspring’s seedless fly,

Why bow to a deeper need?
The angel’s another breed?

I’m lonely,
And words are in the way,
If only!
And words aren’t all they say,
The children came today,
The children came to stay,
The children came to play,

A love song,
A whole new day,
We go astray,
Wishing life away,

A love song,
Enola Gay,
The bombshell came to stay,
Demons held at bay,

I’m lonely,
And words are in the way,
If only!
And words aren’t all they say,
The children came today,
The children came to play,

The Autumn Treasure (lyrics)

Home at last,
And time has flown,
For all the silent singles she has known,
And she left thorns in every wishing well,
Beyond the shell,
A broken spell,
There ‘till the twelfth of never,

And while her feelings follow life along,
She’ll never tell,
Of those who fell,
There, in a moment’s pleasure,

In her eyes,
A feeling’s flight,
The weight of every starry, starry night,
And she’s so right that love alone composed,
And ever knows,
It’s faithful glow,
There in its springtime tether,

Alive and truly longing for the songs,
Of long ago,
Their ebb and flow,
Only a mortal’s measure,

Flying high,
Beyond the clouds,
Discarding veils and disregarding shrouds,
There’s so much more, that modern lives deny,
Of Earth and sky,
I wonder why,
Here in these lives of leisure,

Born late and hiding far beyond,
The madding crowd,
That love allowed,
Only the autumn treasure,

No surprise,
A fading light,
Fears nothing darker than the fall of night,
And having hope in all, I’ve ever done,
Or might have won,
It has become,
A dream we entwined together,

A shadow’s sentimentalising flight,
And when it’s gone,
It leaves a song,
That we may sing forever,

Maiden Starlight (lyrics)

Stardust,
Imagine starlight,
The leading lady’s mesmerising gaze,
Ornate antennal eyebrows,
And somewhere, someday, somehow,
A song of love a nightingale plays,

All the images eternal,
The imagery internal,
A butterfly of love on summer days,

A willow tree in motion,
Your lacewing locomotion,
Your colours are the flowers all ablaze,

Stardust,
It's true that you're such a scintillating sight,
So delicate a quotient,
Alive in every moment,
Your skin is such a daydream's shade of white,

An indelible impression,
Incredible possession,
The orchestral manoeuvres in the night,

Are rocking, rolling, riding,
And truly love abiding,
They’re everything you’re hiding from the light,

Stardust,
Maiden starlight,
Was Heaven’s Halloween the thing I blame?
A desperate desire,
Or inspiration's fire,
You made it all a fountain from a flame,

A musical solution,
No mere passing tears illusion,
Our New Year’s resolutions are the same,

They’re raindrops caught in thunder,
The spell I've fallen under,
That's why it’s been so wonderful you came,

I Came Upon A Stranger (lyrics)

Long ago I came upon a stranger,
Her eyes were Oceana blue,
And my gaze that fell upon her lightly,
Never of her likeness knew,

She was more than merry to a mirror,
No less as fair the camera smiles,
And her fame a celebrated song,
A night upon the moonlit tiles,

And the morning wove a song into tomorrow,
Tomorrow's every right to come too late,
The words are clear,
But no-one hears,
The ripples on a stormy lake,

She would dance into the early hours,
And read a little through the day,
In between a sheet of violet flowers,
The paper and the silk at play,

Dreams as ever lost in ivory towers,
And keyed a little out of tune,
Where between the seconds and the hours,
The sky reveals the silver Moon,

And emotions are a melody's betrayal,
Betrayal sure to further fuel the fire,
The felted strings,
And mountain springs,
Will play upon a haven’s choir,

For,
Long ago I came upon a stranger,
Her eyes were Oceana blue,
And my gaze that fell upon her lightly,
Never of her likeness knew,

And,
She was far too young to need a Hero,
Though way beyond the years she'd known,
And her life a long unwritten story,
The flowering of Eden's own,

Her Innermost Voice (lyrics)

Her mind,
Conceals,
Her innermost secrets,
Her mind,
Conceals,
Her innermost foils,
A song of life and love on reflection,
In other words,
Her policy’s spoils,

A song of life and love’s misconception,
In other words,
Their tallies and toils,

Her eyes,
Reveal,
Her innermost meanings,
Her eyes,
Reveal,
Her innermost thoughts,
A song for life and love has a meaning,
Lost in a world,
Of nothings and noughts,

A song for life and lovers still dreaming,
Lost in a world,
Of caverns and courts,

Her face,
Reveals,
Her innermost feelings,
Her face,
Reveals,
Her innermost joys,
A song of life and love is a novice,
Never a word,
Of nobody's noise,

A song of life and love is a promise,
Never a word,
Of weaponry's ploys,

Her mind,
Conceals,
Her innermost secrets,
Her mind,
Conceals,
Her innermost droid,
A song for love and love’s disbelieving,
Always a world,
Of values and voids,

A song for life that lovers believe in,
Ever a world,
Of dreams we enjoyed,

The Article of Eve (lyrics)

The article of Eve,
Is a well-rehearsed,
Obsession,
Would the article believe?
I love you,

For the better or, the worse;
The buttermint and purse,
Someday,
But it seems you never do,

Paper lace,
Painted face,
Vanished without trace,

To wait in vain,
To live and learn,
To be but I am not you see; to take another turn,

The article of Eve,
Is an angel's verse,
Confession,
From the article in need,
I love you,

Though as bitter flow the words;
From flowers, and from birds,
Somehow,
Though you can’t believe it’s true,

Wagon wheels,
Stylus heels,
You know how it feels,

To fear to tread,
A book I read,
To see but I am not as free; to tell you all it said,

The article of Eve,
In a mirror's frame,
Concession,
Does a part of you believe?
I love you,

Though a battle-hardened flame;
A fate that I became,
Sometimes,
Has another point of view,

Roundabout,
Calling out,
A case of twist and shout?

To say it well,
To ring the bell,
To be but I am not you see; to carry on the spell,

Noah’s Ark (lyrics)

I fear the worst,
A paradise cursed,
A sense of unease,
Cannot be rehearsed,
And love is nothing more than all you need,
The best as ever only even worse,
The lonely aren’t a dying breed,

The vinyl revolution is a fair,
So the ministry I share,
And it’s finished me I swear,
Radio the fallen square,

I know her views,
Opinions are news,
I fear for the trees,
Calling me confused,
But no-one’s been applying for the lead,
The band that’s in the dock is the accused,
The owners of a fallen seed,

The diva is a definite desire,
She’s a mystery on fire,
The republican will tire,
Battle hymn and bastion choir,

Towers in the waterfall,
Flowers on a bedroom wall,
Diamonds in the market stall,

Stranger the amazing trance,
Dangers in a fleeting glance,
Baskervillain’s final chance,

Oranges and lemon’s song,
Universal right and wrong,
Parliamentary bill and bong,

I found a home,
Vineyard and stone,
The medicine tree,
Caught me so alone,
A refugee from every branch and shoot,
The potions if I’d only really known,
Frankenstein’s forbidden fruit,

The wise are still the wizardly aware,
So it’s a mystery we’ll share,
Love has nothing left to spare,
Noah’s ark electric hair,

Mission Impossible (lyrics)

Mission Impossible,
Confessions late at night,
Suspicions in the line of fire,
Colours out of sight,

The counter poising body blow,
The comic section radio,
A melody that steals,
The show,

Mission Impossible,
Decisions out of sight,
Impressions in a silver wire,
Double click of light,

A cuckoo clock upon the hill,
My testament and final will,
I’m sorry for the clowns,
I thrill,

A local corporation,
Sweeping up the floor,
Mary Temple ‘Steeple’,
Cinderella's Door,

The Churchill belfry married,
Hear the final score,
Singing there like angels,
Someone else’s war

Mission Impossible,,
Admission late at night,
Admitting the anonymous,
Adrift and lost in flight,

The discotheque a passing craze,
On freedom’s fallen folly days,
The sky at night reveals,
The maze,

The Birthday Model (lyrics)

I can’t forget your birthday,
It can't have been the worst day,
That I’ve waited for,
And it was the best day that I never saw,

But a daydream can’t be true,
And it seems you never knew,
I was only me,
And you were only you,

I’ll never forget our first day,
A not so well-rehearsed day,
For the girl next door,
I’m sure I wrote the essay that she asked me for,

And a daydream found you there,
When I caught you unaware,
I was only here,
And you were only there,

I’ll never forget that last day,
And you might see things my way,
If there's something more,
I hope it happens someday,
Upon a distant shore,

In a daydream, you’d have known,
My-oh-my how time has flown,
I was here alone,
And you were there at home,

You can’t forget my birthday,
It can't have been the worst day,
That you’ve waited for,
And it was the best day that you never saw,

But a daydream can’t be true,
And it seems you never knew,
I was only me,
And you were only you,

The Only One (lyrics)

To the only one,
All of the things you've done,
Another mind,
A love as kind,
You’re not the only one,

To the only one,
All that you've overcome,
A fallen star,
You came too far,
To be the only one,

In these amazing ivory towers,
Far above,
And we’ll never make it through,
The contradictions,
We call love,

And thank you for the invitation,
I’m so glad to see,
How the modern world was won,
And vested in the free,
Being for the benefit of somebody like me,

To the only one,
What has your life become,
And if you’re brave,
Another grave,
You’re not the only one,

To the only one,
All of the things I’ve done,
Another place,
Another face,
Will be the only one,

In these amazing ivory towers,
Far above,
And we’ll never make it through,
The contradictions,
We call love,

And thank you for the revelation,
Every word is true,
How the modern world was won,
And vested in the few,
Being for the benefit of somebody like you,

To the only one,
There's always the rising sun,
I'm leaving home,
I should have known,
I'm not the only one,

To the only one,
Long after my life is done,
I’ll die alone,
I leave a stone,
I'm not the only one,

A Love Letter From America (lyrics)

Love letters overflowing,
For the heart has somewhere to grow,
Love letters without knowing,
But you still have nowhere to go,

Love letters or the truth,
Leaf litter on the roof,

A love letter or a miracle,
Leaf litter or the proof,
A love letter from America,
A love letter to the fallen youth,

Love letters overflowing,
For the girl who wandered in miles,
Love letters without knowing,
That you came to measure the smiles,

Love letters or the truth,
Leaf litter on the roof,

A love letter or a miracle,
Leaf litter or the proof,
A love letter from America,
A love letter to the fallen youth,

Love letters,
Well, they seem that way,
Thorns and thistles all the world was worth,
Love letters from America,
Leaf litter on the fallen Earth,

Love letters overflowing,
To the girl, the crowd won’t recall,
Love letters without knowing,
That in time it comes to us all,

Love letters or the truth,
Leaf litter on the roof,

A love letter or a miracle,
Leaf litter or the proof,
A love letter from America,
A love letter to the fallen youth,

Radio Head (lyrics)

Radio head,
Is the aerial dead?
It leaves me lost for reason,
Radio head,
The addiction I dread,
To find so out of season,

Now fortune prefers,
To hear than be overheard,
A figure of flavour,
When she seems somehow to be so ill-deserved,

Radio head,
It's the angle I fled,
It’s not the cost of living,
Radio head,
On reflection I said,
I'll find myself forgiving,

Now fortune prefers,
To steal from the fraying nerves,
A feature you favour,
When you hang upon her every deadly word,

Radio head,
It's a joy to be heard,
In spite of the illusion,
Radio head,
On collecting the words,
I'll settle for confusion,

Misfortune prepares,
To steal from the unaware,
Her usual behaviour,
Being nothing more than I do myself declare,

Happy Ever After (lyrics)

I never sleep at night,
The radio’s attraction,
Living letters that you write,
And paper‘s very white,

And the happy ever after,
Always came too late,
Born to promising occasions,
Made to seal its fate,
Among the complications,
All the laughter in our wake,

Here's the card,
And the signature's mine,
Here's the love,
And the reasons are blind,
Here's the day,
But I think I’ve forgotten to say,
I love you,
And I’ll never remember the way,

My eyes are wide awake,
The morning chorus echoes,
Every livelihood at stake,
So pencil in the cake,

But the happy ever after,
Seems to steal the light,
Born to star-struck expectations,
Dreamed up out of sight,
Among the revelations,
I am keeping here at night,

Here's the card,
And the signature's mine,
Here's the love,
And the reasons are blind,
Here's the day,
But I think I’ve forgotten to say,
I love you,
And I’ll never remember the way,

The Every Everything (lyrics)

The every everything’s,
A figuring of lace,
Like the rock'n'roll in Wonderland,
A fantasy world in her own hands,
Ever since her music filled this place,

The every everything,
No matter what they say,
The every everything,
I should have walked away,
The every everything,
I’ll remember her this way,

The every everything’s,
A celebrated smile,
And if it all came true another day,
I’d find a place to fly away,
In the ever after for a while,

The every everything,
No matter what they say,
The every everything,
I should have walked away,
The every everything,
I’ll remember her this way,
,
The every everything’s,
A vision to amaze,
In a paradise island far away,
A radio theme from yesterday,
Even though we’ve all seen better days,

The every everything,
No matter what they say,
The every everything,
I should have walked away,
The every everything,
I’ll remember her this way,

The every everything’s,
A songbird's serenade,
For the ebony and ivory,
The musical still alive in me,
Sweet romantic melodies she played,

The every everything,
No matter what they say,
The every everything,
I should have walked away,
The every everything,
I’ll remember her this way,

The Every Everything,
The Every Everything,
The Every Everything,

The People Under The Stairs (lyrics)

The fears and doubts,
That time is revealing,
They were never misleading for me,
Surviving without,
It's time that is healing,
There's forever for wondering free,

I'm almost loved,
It's all that I'm taking,
Finding shadows exploring the Moon,
To talk it out,
It's all that I'm making,
When nostalgia is calling the tune,

I'm wondering high,
In mountainous valleys,
Breathing slowly on rarefied air,
Raised it's true,
In cityscape alleys,
Loving the people from under the stairs,

Love is the tragedy,
Blaming the fair,
There in the wilderness without a care,

Lost in a fantasy,
Never a share,
Here in the middle and Mystery beware,

The future comes,
Too soon without warning,
Live and dangerous leading to where,
Love outlasts,
All reasonable callings,
True adventure's a wing and a prayer,

The Guest House (lyrics)

They come to draw the curtains,
If they see you flying past,
Looking for a table,
A neon light and glass,

In the guest house,
The arrest house,
A “happy ever after all the best house”,

And the guest house has a ghost,
He is history they boast,
And so, the letters that I post,
Remain a mystery at most,

They found that I’m unstable,
But a hangover can last,
Hoping for the bombshell,
Of silicon to pass,

In the guest house,
The arrest house,
A “happy ever after all the best house”,

And the guest house has a ghost,
He is history they boast,
And so, the letters that I post,
Remain a mystery at most,

It’s my imagination,
It isn’t yours to take,
Mentally unable,
To be as wide awake,

In the guest house,
The arrest house,
A “happy ever after all the best house”,

And the guest house has a ghost,
He is history they boast,
And so, the letters that I post,
Remain a mystery at most,

They’ll make you feel so welcome,
They’ll make you feel so good,
Born into the stable,
Same old neighbourhood,

In the guest house,
The arrest house,
A “happy ever after all the best house”,

And the guest house has a ghost,
He is history they boast,
And so, the letters that I post,
Remain a mystery at most,

The News Of The World (lyrics)

The ‘News of the World’ arrives,
On my doorstep,
One giant leap,
One more step,
The ‘News of the World’ alive,
The ‘News of the World’ survives,

The ‘News of the World’ will dine,
Being dressed for the company talent and wine,
The ‘News of the World’ will shine,
Hear the laughter,
Happiness ever after,
The ‘News of the World’ is fine,

The ‘News of the World’ said ‘Hi’,
The ‘News of the World’ passed by,
The News of the World asked: ‘Why?’
The ‘News of the World” would cry,

The ‘News of the World’ arrives,
On my doorstep,
One giant leap,
One more step,
The ‘News of the World’ alive,
The ‘News of the World’ survives,

The ‘News of the World’ desired,
Being ready for more on the day she was hired,
The ‘News of the World’ retired,
In the morning,
Happiness without warning,
The ‘News of the World’ was wired,

The ‘News of the World’ said ‘Hi’,
The ‘News of the World’ passed by,
The News of the World asked: ‘Why?’
The ‘News of the World” would cry,

The ‘News of the World’ arrives,
On my doorstep,
One giant leap,
One more step,
The ‘News of the World’ alive,
The ‘News of the World’ survives,

The ‘News of the World’ was she,
Being caught in the flames of the fabulous free,
The ‘News of the World’ you’ll see,
In the headlines,
Happiness on the breadlines,
The ‘News of the World’ and me,

The ‘News of the World’ said ‘Hi’,
The ‘News of the World’ passed by,
The News of the World asked: ‘Why?’
The ‘News of the World” would cry,

Strange New World (lyrics)

There’s a joy in being loved,
Enjoyed among the living,
A joy beholding something,
No-one's ever seen,

Fears forbidden stage,
A mosaic upon the page,
How I came of age,
In a watercolour dream,

A joy to find my comprehension,
Something so absurd,
Ringing in my head,
Hold it in my hands,
Every fragile word,

A strange new World,
In the frontier zone,
I hope you feel all right,
I hope you feel at home,

A strange new World,
In the frontier zone,
I hope you sleep at night,
I hope you're not alone,

There’s a joy in those at home,
Enjoyed by those who’re leaving,
Joy unfolding somewhere,
No-one’s ever been,

Sentiment and stone,
Pixels on the phone,
Single not alone,
But you're hidden by the screen,

A joy to find a new connection,
Someone there alone,
Holding on to life,
Holding on to love,
Every fragile stone,

A strange new World,
In the frontier zone,
I hope you feel all right,
I hope you feel at home,

A strange new World,
In the frontier zone,
I hope you sleep at night,
I hope you're not alone,

A strange new World,
A strange new World,
A strange new World indeed,

The Mystery (lyrics)

I like living in a 'cave',
And on my own,
I find it peaceful,
In my own way, I survive,
Like other people,

I thought of making music,
A story I could tell,
But who on Earth would hear it?
Another last farewell,

Thank you for the tears,
The real souvenirs,
Thank you for the years,
I’m just a volunteer,
The mystery as anyone would know,
Is very clear,

I’m still learning as I age,
And in my time,
I’ve found some answers,
In my own way, I can smile,
At all the dancers,

I thought of making money,
A story I could sell,
But who on Earth would buy it?
I think I know you well,

Thank you for the tears,
The real souvenirs,
Thank you for the years,
I’m just a volunteer,
The musicals about to meet,
The real World in here,

I Cling To A Lifeline (lyrics)

Love is a dream that arises,
In stories, we know,
The children's’ school plays,
Bright sunny days,
The playgrounds, we filled with surprises,

But what will remain of my memories,
Those beautiful times,
The music I breathe,
And still, believe,
Isn’t the life they have sent me,

And it’s been a lifetime,
I’ve never been free,
I cling to a lifeline,
Knowing the truth is it must be me,

Love is a rose and a junkie,
A paradise lost,
It’s that kind of need,
All that we bleed,
Growing as wild as the country,

And songs that remain in the quarry,
A Norwegian Wood,
The lovelorn parades,
Fairytale maids,
I'm sure when they’re gone, we will all be sorry,

And it’s been a lifetime,
I’ve never been free,
I cling to a lifeline,
Knowing the truth is it must be me,

Yes, if it’s you,
Yes, it is true,
Yes, it is true, that I know you well,

The International Refugee (lyrics)

Strangers in a crowd,
A world that needs attention,
An argument so loud,
What was their intention?
I'd rather close the door,
Than find that this is war,

I may never find the way,
May forever find a way?
I know the world has been this way before,

Champions are few,
Among the great pretenders,
But life is nothing new,
In missing its defenders,
I'd rather they would share,
Than seem so unaware,

I may never find the words,
May forever find the words,
I know a world that never seems to care,

Is money all it’s really worth?
Is this an Easter Island Earth?
To somebody like me,
I’m just a refugee,

Religion’s dust on ancient shelves,
It’s how we celebrate ourselves,
The one you couldn’t see,
I’m just a refugee,

Reality is real,
A world forever turning,
I know the way you feel,
The truth as ever burning,
A multitude so brave,
I find it all so grave,

And forever found you here,
And forever drowned you here,
Is this a world our destiny will save?

Ladybird (lyrics)

A song in the air,
At a quarter past seven,
Something to share,
On the stairway to heaven,
Dialling the day tripper's line,

Diamond rings,
If you're looking for the lover,
Broken strings,
If you're diving for the feathered covers,
Lost in the flight of her lines,

Her dress is as white,
As a wedding day's calling,
Clinging as tight,
As the well-wisher's falling,
Defending the day tripper's name,

Choose a key,
If you're looking for her sorrow,
Being free,
If you're looking for a fine tomorrow,
Lost in the light of her flame,

A song in the night,
And you're caught without warning
Lost in the flight,
Of a fantasy's calling,
Our Magical Mystery’s days,

Let it shine,
For the happy ever after,
Ride on time,
For the leg-o-set of love and laughter,
Love in a summertime haze,

A moment all about her,
A lifetime in a day,
A moment spent without her,
A time to feel this way,

And being an outsider,
A lifetime in the tray,
And now I’m here beside her,
No time to run away,

The moment seems right,
And it’s now maybe never,
Day-oh daylight,
And it’s now and forever,
The Magical Mystery Ball,

Make her smile,
If you're looking for the wonder,
Go in style,
For the legend of a lover's summer,
A flower on Storyville’s Walls,

A Living Thing (lyrics)

I knew you in the early days,
When you were still alone,
And I know how much the colours weigh,
The diamond from the bone,

I know you’re just a living thing,
You’ve never been a stone,
And thank you for the memories,
I keep them all at home,

You came to feeling lonely too,
Immaculate and bright,
And I know how many years have passed,
In darkness and in light,

I know you’re a forgiving thing,
But I’m still here to fight,
And thank you for the melodies,
The radio’s all right,

And I will never say goodbye,
To this little land’s community,
But thank you,
Love is still in sight,

And I will always wonder why,
I never had immunity,
But thank you,
For keeping me awake at night,

I wondered if you’ve seen me here,
And celebrate in shock,
Well, I know how much my memory weighs,
The cupboard’s I have locked,

And I know you’re just a living thing,
A truth I should have known,
But thank you for the memories,
They’re why I’m still alone,

A Desert Island Castaway (lyrics)

I’m back here in the future,
Of our early days,
On my own,
If not, at least, a lover,
Like a desert island castaway,
Who found a million others,

And I’m sure the songs are true,
Of anyone like you,
The desert island crew,
But the radio won’t answer,
When you’re one among the few,

I’m back here in the future,
Of the plans we made,
With a view,
If not, at least, the heights,
Of a desert island hit parade,
That made a thousand nights,

And I’ll keep the songs of youth,
For me, they are the proof,
And never mind the spoof,
For the radio is faithful,
To the desert island truth,

I’m back here in the future,
Of the dreams, we made,
In the night,
If not, at last, the cover,
In a desert island masquerade,
That chose a million lovers,

And I’ll keep the songs of old,
To me, they're never cold,
A hayride life foretold,
But the radio will tell you,
There’s was once a band of gold,

The Things I Own (lyrics)

Lessons that I learned,
Me, myself and mine,
And my fingers surely burned,
In universal time,

And I will put it down to art
Papering the place,
A lover losing face,
In all I ever found to pull apart,

And I find myself at home,
Better love at last returns,
To be alone,
Should I live or leave a stone?
Better love at least returns,
The things I own,

All the candles burned,
Long into the night,
A theory they returned,
The reputation’s right,

And I will put it down to art,
Papering the place,
A lover lost in space,
From all I ever found to call a heart,

And I find myself at home,
Better love at last returns,
To be alone,
Should I live or leave a stone?
Better love at least returns,
The things I own,

Peppering the lines,
I might have laid in haste,
Papering the signs,
I didn’t want to face,
How they vanish without trace,
In the wallpaper place,

Lessons that I learned,
Leave the past behind,
And the cogwheels surely turned,
Although my eyes were blind,

And I will put it down to art
Peppering the place,
A lover losing faith,
In all I ever found to pull apart,

And I find myself at home,
Better love at last returns,
To be alone,
Should I live or leave a stone?
Better love at least returns,
The things I own,

The Ghost Of Christmas Past (lyrics)

Originals of all my cares,
An old collection by the stairs,
The story of our lives was there,

A log-on cabin room to spare,
The revolutions leading there,
A story built on Berkeley Square,

I am the ghost of Christmas past,
A memory,
I am the ghost of Christmas,
That you sent to me,

I am the ghost of Christmas past,
The century,
I am the ghost of Christmas,
In the woods you see,

The living room’s a hideaway,
A house of fun but I’m okay,
The story of a winter’s day,

The mantelpiece a fine display,
A Christmas past as I would say,
So long ago and far away,

I am the ghost of Christmas past,
A memory,
I am the ghost of Christmas,
That you sent to me,

I am the ghost of Christmas past,
The century,
I am the ghost of Christmas,
In the woods you see,

The winter's ice a snowman's crown,
And garden birds are back in town,
A choir still so well renowned,

They're frozen in the patio,
A fossil frog and snail I know,
Alive and living long ago,

I am the ghost of Christmas past,
A memory,
I am the ghost of Christmas,
Present melody,

I am the ghost of Christmas past,
The century,
I am the ghost of Christmas,
That you couldn't see,

I am the ghost of Christmas past,
A friend you see,
I am the ghost of Christmas,
Yet to come you see,

Dizzy Heights (lyrics)

Here are the pieces of a life,
Made of old mistakes,
I can hear the brakes,
And you will know the promises we made,
The novel life betrayed,
A part I’d rather trade,

These are dizzy heights,
Here we place our hopes,
High upon the slopes,
Communication's always been the plight,

Here are the people that I like,
They have open eyes,
Be there crowded skies,
And you will know the battles that we fought,
A fear of none and nought,
A mystery I thought,

These are dizzy heights,
Here we place our hopes,
High upon the slopes,
Communication's always been the plight,

Here is the future of the World,
I apologise,
For the enterprise,
And no-one saw the ravens in the tower,
The bill of might and power,
Battles in the flowers,

These are dizzy heights,
Here we place our hopes,
High upon the slopes,
Communication's always been the plight,

Here with the freedom to survive,
When will you come down?
Love is all around,
And you will know the valleys where we dive,
The way the driven drive,
It’s how we stay alive,

These are dizzy heights,
Thank you for your votes,
Here are all my notes,
The letters that would never come to light,

She Was Beautiful (lyrics) Extended Version

She was beautiful,
Beautiful like the sun,
And the first time I saw her,
The world had yet to come,

And she was so beautiful there to behold,
That the moonlight passing by,
Defined her,
And designed her,
A birdwing butterfly,

For she was beautiful,
Beautiful like the sun,
And the first time I saw her,
The world had yet to come,

And she was so colourful carefree and wild,
That my calling was her flame,
But the time passed,
To love's last,
The memories remain,

For...
She was beautiful,
Beautiful like the sun,
And the first time I saw her,
The world had yet to come,

Now a heart beats in the candlelight air,
By the words born of a song,
Did she hear me,
Or fear me,
Tell me I am wrong?

For she was beautiful,
She was beautiful,
Beautiful like the sun,
And the first time I saw her,
The world had yet to come,

Did the time pass in the still of the night?
Did I realise far too

EQUIPMENT

Electronic Piano and Keyboard. I haven't got the facilities to post music but I'm looking for someone who'd like to compose some love songs. Of course, some of the lyrics will have to be shortened, but they are all singable and some, have melodies or at least unfinished music. I simply don't have the technical skills to complete composition to a professional standard and so I'd welcome so help from an imaginative collaborator.
