Sometimes
Sometimes Track number: 1 Year: 2008 Album: First Genre: Pop
This is a love song / ballad that was written in two phases. The melody was written first. When I whistled the tune into the Dictaphone, the notes just rolled off the tongue and out, like they had been waiting there some time to escape. The conditions were right. A whistle and a recording machine. Lets go notes!! Lyrics came much later and were inspired by my Wife, Kath.

Smile
Smile Track number: 2 Year: 2009 Album: First Genre: Pop
'Smile' is about me and a friend i've known since Junior School. We went to Secondary School together, lived together in various locations in Bristol, then we went our seperate ways, (he got married, I moved out of Bristol). We kept in touch albeit sporadically, I worked abroad a lot, he had three children, and before we knew it, almost 20 years had passed. We then started getting together again to play tennis and have a beer or two and are still doing so. Cheers!

First Love
First Love Track number: 3 Year: 2014 Album: First Genre: Pop
First Love is a true story about me and a girl I met when I was 21. I went out with her on and off over a period of two years but could never commit to a more permanent relationship. I still wonder what may have happened if I had chosen to 'settle' down' at such a young age, rather than choose the nights on the town with the lads and all that emcompasses.

Stars
Stars Track number: 4 Year: 2014 Album: First Genre: Pop
'Stars' is an angry song about the Bankers. I was looking up at the cloudless sky one night after the 10 o'clock news was telling me about Billions of pounds that had been lost on the stock market and the Trillions of pounds we owed to whoever. I couldn't imagine Billions of pounds, (I couldn't think of a big enough Suitcase or container), but by looking at the stars I could begin to see what a billion may look like. How could they lose so much?..................................GREED.

Lonely
Lonely Track number: 5 Year: 2014 Album: First Genre: Pop
'Lonely' is a song depicting a time in my life when I was engulfed by alcohol and the consequences that brings. Sweating, paranoia, shaking etc. 'Waiting for the ominous ring from the telephone' is a reference to Creditors or Bailliffs chasing me for monies owed, bills not paid. Scary times. Eventually the penny dropped thanks to a number of incidents. My health deteriorated, I became homeless for one night and a Niece of mine told me i needed to change to remain as part of the family. Now, I'm settled, I'm Married to Kath, I don't drink, I live in a comfortable house, I don't owe anybody any money and am now an integral part of the family.
