ABOUT

Vocalist, rhythm/slide guitarist and ukulele strummer.
Profile picture taken about ten years ago, when I went out as "Pete Silver". I now play old Rhythm & Blues, 50s/60s Rock-pop and Rockabilly (not Psycho, Metal, Punk-a-billy or modern R&B though).
I am looking for a double bassist or bass guitarist, lead guitarist or steel player, percussionist /drummer, keyboardist, saxophonist and other instrumentalists / vocalists etc. male or female ( Rockabilly girls are cool!). I am quite happy for others to sing lead vocals. You don't have to be a brilliant player, but must have a sense of rhythm and enjoy this type of music. Click on my audio - It's a song I wrote about an American car, and one about fifties TV shows(although I could do with some help in composing "proper" Rockabilly stuff!). Phone me on 01437 741583 or e-mail me at peterthomas583@.
In addition to the audio on this site, there are videos of the same songs on "You Tube" called "Orbell Brockett - '59 Buick","Orbell Brockett - A Television Dream" and "Orbell Brockett - Meesy Bop". Where, for what it's worth, you can see me performing! I now use "Orbell Brockett" as my stage name. I've just added my home version of Elmore James' "Dust My Broom" on slide guitar(see the above audio list).

I want to complain: that there are no categories for "Slide Guitar" or for "Rockabilly". When I queried this, 'Bandmix' reckon that there are too many headings already (although I noticed that there are two for Christian music)!
