An old fart that's been playing music as a hobby since my early teens (never good enough to be more than amateur and happy to be so)and now in my 70s and still trying to improve!
Not sure if I want to actually join a band with lots of commitment to gigs etc but an occasional thing would be fun.

Influences
I have so many!... but as these days I'm concentrating on Dobro I'm heavily into flats and Scruggs' Dobro player 'Uncle Josh Graves' and also Mike Aldridge and more contemporary players Like Jerry Douglas and Rob Ickes. I'm very much into American 'Old-Time' string band music and have many friends that I play with regularly in jam sessions in better times.I play mainly guitar at those meets but also a bit of clawhammer banjo and starting to learn fiddle and mandolin.
