Heavy Rock/ Metal
Influenced by Oldschool with a Modern Heavy Edge

After some experience with bands in the past, Nest of Vipers formed in late 2012 by Hannah and Ed in Edinburgh. They had original demos recorded and mixed and found drummer Alan Chetcuti who brought along guitarist Thom Hall, who after a couple of line up changes due to work commitments, became a permanent member for the band shortly after. The band went on hiatus in September 2016 when Thom couldn't commit to the band anymore and the vipers became a 5 piece striking into 2017 until drummer Alan Chetcuti announced his departure from the band moving back to Malta in May 2017. The band are still currently on hiatus.

Nest of vipers are personally influenced by a number of rock and metal bands which give them a sound of something modern with an old school edge.

With powerful vocals, a strong heavy rhythm section and soaring guitar solos you really need to experience the band live to see what they are bringing to the rock and metal scene.

The band are currently working hard writing new material and gigging around Scotland and the UK and hit the studio to record their official E.P last year, as well as getting onto the smaller festival circuit.

So far on their journey they have supported some great acts in Edinburgh and Glasgow including Attica Rage, Ramage Inc, Blaze Bayley, Triaxis, Fury,Furyon and Eternal Fear and have also played some great venues amongst these gigs, including The Marrs Bar (Worcester), The Venue (Dumfries),Downstairs (Aberdeen), Broadcast (Glasgow) ,Liverpool O2 Academy (Liverpool), and have played a number of local shows at Bannermans (Edinburgh).

They are set to play their first festival slot at Wildfire Festival in June and are currently taking part in this years Metal to the Masses Glasgow for a chance to play at Bloodstock Festival.
They are planning to hit the UK towards the end of the year.

Exciting times ahead for the band in 2016.
