I'm a Poet and Singer-Songwriter looking for musicians to work with for gigs and recording on my own songs. I'm also interested in exploring writing with someone else. I'm a confident frontman and a good lyricist and singer. I used to run my own poetry and music night and still put on one-off nights. I'm also closely involved in this project where I compere and do poetry at their live events:
This is my website:
Specifically, I'm looking for a bass player who can do dub, a good keyboardist and a drummer/beats. Let me know if you're interested - cheers!

Taylor grand auditorium electro acoustic, Epiphone Wildkat and Alden VX Troubadour electrics, Tanglewood 12-string acoustic, pedals, microkorg synth, full-sized digital piano (Roland 150). I'm ore of a writer than a player, guitar is my best instrument.
Blue TeardropI went into the studio with very little for this track. I had the melody and the lyrics (which got an edit during recording). I didn't even have the chords as I struggled to figure them out, but Ollie McKiernan stepped-in and sorted that out (and many other things. he was the Producer/Engineer/Therapist after all - got there in the end :-) Trumpet by Nick Cochrane and a beautiful cherry-on-the-cake string arrangement by Paul Carroll.
Bedroom BoyThis was pieced together from 3 fragments that I wrote over time and thought would work together. The story is urging a teenage boy to get out of his bedroom and do something with his life. This was my first recorded track with Oliver McKiernan (www.atticstudiolondon.com)and was an ambitious first attempt. It took a fair few sessions to get right and the brass particularly was a tricky part to get but in the end, I'm pleased with what we achieved here. I still really enjoy playing this song live.
BlueOn and off, this took a year to record and mix and served as a comprehensive (and expensive!) lesson in arrangement, recording and mixing. It was my own inexperience in the process that cost me the money, not Daniel Taylor-Lind's expertise as a producer and engineer (which is considerable!) but I'm pleased with the results. I've got a version that's a good combination between what I heard in my head and what's feasible to actually do with the resources I have - it's a big piece of mighty, angelic Blue! Enjoy and tell me what you think :-)
BookbinderOne of what I call my electronic torch songs. People like this track although the topic is unusual. This is a final mix with some simple mastering, signed-off in Dec 2016.
Bedroom Boy (Acoustic - The Preservation Room)
Bedroom Boy (Acoustic - The Preservation Room)This is the audio from the video for 'Bedroom boy', shot and recorded by John Kye for The Preservation Room (https://www.facebook.com/thepreservationroom2016/)in January 2016. There's a bigger arrangement of this song on here but many people like this version which is the one I do live in singer-songwriter mode. This is probably my favourite song to play live.
Send Your Love
Send Your LoveRecorded in August 2015 with Joe 'Appicha' Read in Crouch End, North London. Sweet and lovely backing vocals wonderfully provided by Rhea Witherford. Guitar, vocals and songwriting - Me. Banjo, bass and keyboards - Joe Read. All comments, likes, constructive criticism very welcome!
BlueI recorded a lot of demos at my Brother's studio over the Easter weekend and this was one of them. Mostly, the best ones were done in the chapel across the road but this one was done in the studio itself and I prefer it to the one we did on sacred ground :)
StarmakerI've done several demos of this song and the arrangement doesn't change, just the performance and the quality of the recording get progressively better. This version was recorded, mixed and engineered by John Clift who is also on Soundcloud and clearly is my Brother :)
