[Cover] Growth 2020 Birthday - Re:Start Medley
[Cover] Growth 2020 Birthday - Re:Start MedleyAs a small personal project this year I tried to record a small part of each Growth Re:Start duet for every member's birthday. My skills and equipment changed along the way and the difference is clear between each of the 4 tracks. With 時のはざまに I wasn't sure what I was doing just yet. With Apostasy I started realizing my equipment needed an upgrade. Promessa is my favourite of the 4 and the one I've put the most effort into. 名も無き星たち came with the worst timing sadly and for a series of reasons I never managed to finish it nor work on it as I wished, but somehow got through it just enough to finish the series.

[English Cover] Blackpink - Forever Young
[English Cover] Blackpink - Forever YoungI can finally free myself of this /work in progress/ !! For the first time, I tried to do a completely digital cover, no analog instruments involved in here (except vocals) so it might be a little bit weird. I found these pretty drums and strings sounds that I really wanted to test out as well -- I had to re-arrange the song to fit my vocals, as I'm not used to this high-female like songs (?), I learned a few things from this challenge. One of them is how the mixing process can be so very tiring when you are still learning sigh. note to self: -DAW: Ableton live -Microphone: SE -MIDI: Novation Launchkey MINI mk3 -Interface: Focusrite scarlet 2i2

[Cover] Handead Anthem_Deva - Why Not?
[Cover] Handead Anthem_Deva - Why Not?If you could listen with headphones would be nice since I worked extra (?) on the bass line - I'm gonna post it anyway 'cause this took me 2 days to finish, but I'm finally sort of understanding how to make digital music? It's something I never looked into and which was required for me to complete this cover and made me struggle a bit, so I might actually start with this song again from scratch once I get some missing gear (hence MIDI input). For now this worked nicely to test how my brand new microphone works and make me wish my DAW would let me work on more than 8 tracks sob. I also started working on a more Rockish version and I'm excited to work on it ~ Ps: the original song is incredible, the more I listen to it the more I wanna listen to it! To self: first piece with new SE mic

[Acoustic cover] - 君ノ花 - Kira Ouka (吉良 凰香 ) - Vazzy (VazzRock)
[Acoustic cover] - 君ノ花 - Kira Ouka (吉良 凰香 ) - Vazzy (VazzRock)I've realised it's been so long since I last did something so I had to record, anything. It took me a couple of hours and I tried to keep it as "live" as possible, hence all the little mistakes are still there and my voice wasn't warm yet, but it's fine. I believe if I try too many takes I'll start to slowly loose the feeling and emotions I wanna convey through the melody so I'm still happy I got this one song done, because I love it. To self: last piece recorder with Audition

(Acoustic cover) - Canaria -消えゆく空に - Okui Tsubasa (奥井 翼) - SolidS
(Acoustic cover) - Canaria -消えゆく空に - Okui Tsubasa (奥井 翼) - SolidSOn the road again -- This song was in my "to do" list for a long time, for many reasons it never saw the light. Some lucky circumstances made it so I managed to find some good equipment that pushed me in working on it again: a new stylish microphone and a cute mixer made it all way simpler and funny!! The only thing missing was time, and as life gets in the way, I also get too embarrassed to sing when someone else is home, which surely doesn't help --- So, again, lucky circumstances, made it that I should have been alone every night for a week, but for a "bad feeling" which turned out to be real, it became only one night, in which I totally rushed this song from beginning to the end. I planned to record most of the vocal lines, as you can hear I wasn't ready for those low cuts, but as I said--- It will do for now. Also, forgive my non-so-skilled guitar work, it's been a while--

(Acoustic cover) Natsu ☆しようぜ! - iDOLISH7 / TRIGGER ver.
(Acoustic cover) Natsu ☆しようぜ! - iDOLISH7 / TRIGGER ver.Long time no see -- I've had this track as a work in progress for the last 2 months or something? Because of work, I had little time to work on it, but somehow it's now concluded!! It's the first track I'm doing with a new program and settings and I still have a lot to learn about it all. Hopefully, it won't sound too weird ... I'm so attached to this song and all the different feelings it brings, both of happiness and sadness, but in either case connecting people. I hope I managed to wrap in here some of those feelings, especially for those who know it already! I would have liked to have a few more voice tracks done but I didn't have the time sadly.

(Acoustic English cover) Jennie (Blackpink) - SOLO -
(Acoustic English cover) Jennie (Blackpink) - SOLO -It took me so long to figure this one out because I absolutely wanted to insert the piano part, even though I never played piano in my life before, I somehow figured it out with an emulator of some sort, I'm sorry if it sounds weird -- I tried to work the lyrics out in English on my own using various translations I found on the net, so I hope that as well doesn't sound too weird, because I really am not confident in singing Korean yet - I did my best in trying to clean up the recordings but the microphone I'm using is quite tricky and not really a great one so - doing what I can with what I have I presume -- Either way I'm happy I finally got to finish this **

(Acoustic cover) - Sera Rikka & Takamura Shiki (SolidS)- DARK MOON ANGEL (シキ&リッカ)
(Acoustic cover) - Sera Rikka & Takamura Shiki (SolidS)- DARK MOON ANGEL (シキ&リッカ)please listen with headphones if possible! I tried playing a little with DxSx balance like the original song. I've been stuck with this song for far too long, I love it so much but I figured if I recorded it at least I would maybe be able to move forward. It was hard, I'm not particularly good when it comes to soft tracks: if I recorded on the original instrumental track then I would have gone all out, but with my current resources I decided to try for an acoustic one, and this is how we end up here. I had some trouble identifying all the voices, especially in the chorus, so please forgive me if sometimes I sound completely off. That aside I really enjoyed doing this, both Shiki and Rikka's way of singing is really interesting and catchy, literally, it sticks to your soul if that makes sense. I hope even just a little of that feeling came out of my own voice, but I'll keep working on it!

(Acoustic cover) - Fujimura Mamoru (Growth)- Reraise (藤村 衛 -リレイズ -Reraise-)
(Acoustic cover) - Fujimura Mamoru (Growth)- Reraise (藤村 衛 -リレイズ -Reraise-)"My dream starts from here" and from here I will rise again and give my best so that dreams can come true. I haven't been singing for a long time, so to reach those first low notes I had to stretch my voice for few days, and still, this is as much as I could do. I hope soon to be finally able, after years, to have someone somehow to teach me how to sing. This is where I start again from. I hold this song very dearly and since it meant a lot to me, I tried to convey my feelings through it. I don't own high-quality instruments but I try my best with what I have.
