ABOUT

Songs above:

Waiting For The Summer: Put together in brief with a London based Cubase buddy.. NOT NOT NOT finished, vibe change needed. Just an idea for you to check out.

Hold On: I can spot more parts of this VERY ROUGH recording where I go out of key than you... it's a rough mix, only thrown on to give an idea of another style of mine. AGAIN, needs work and a producer/guitar god.
..........................................

Leaving my old rock band life behind, I now write songs that are firmly in the categories and pigeon holes of acoustic, funk, earthy scaled down vibes... sounds pretentious doesn’t it? Basically I write music that’s more about an acoustic groove and attitude than powered up Marshall amps and FX boards.

My intentions are aimed at the bigger picture, leaning on the side of publishing over the big deal. For that I want to set up a writing and recording partnership to get things underway, for the long term directing original songs to record companies etc.

The songs I’m writing at the moment cross genres and styles, although the majority are written with my own style and preferences. They are good too. Obviously recording is also a big factor, starting with rough demos and moving from there. But I also want to get out there, playing sessions in Cardiff, Bristol, London etc... though only as needed, not every week.

It’s all about finding the right blend of talent, experience and personalities to start. That’s about it. You can find a dodgy track on Myspace under MacTunes, but that isn’t the finished article at all. I’m also on Twitter as my name here.

Influences

I don’t want to play in a cover band. My current easy to identify influences are John Mayer, Stevie Wonder, Jason Mraz, Jamiroquai (early), Chris Cornell (for the rockin’ stuff), David Holmes (for the groove), Elton John (70s), Sarah Bereilles... etc etc. Older influences cover an extremely eclectic mix.
