Please not!.....I'm only looking for a few musicians who are interested in having a jam - I'm not looking for a gigging band.
Something else I could look into - I also have a studio at home and I compose in a number of genres. I would love to collaborate with another composer, or songwriter.

Red SailsAs the evening draws in and the sun begins to set, the light sailing boats, head back to the harbour under the speed of a light breeze, and they weave around the gentle waves, in the failing light which turns the sky red, and the sails on the boats turn a beautiful red too.
Beautiful DreamInstrumental with piano, 'cello and oboe.

A Summers DayThis is a gentle summers day that washes over your soul.
In The Distance
In The DistanceIn the distance is not only looking at things that are far away in life - all that you might long for, and all that has past before.
Remembering YouWhen you have parted for whatever reason in life that parts you, you reminisce about your past life with that person, you look back with sadness because you miss the person who was always there for you. You feel abandoned, but loved, left alone, feeling bereft, you blame them for your feelings that you now have, but ultimately, life with them was good, and how you wish they were back by your side.
Bound By Circles
Bound By CirclesSometimes life feels as thought we go from one circle to another - we travel round and round, and suddenly we break through in the hope that we have left the circle, but this is a different circle, a happier circle, these circles are what life is about, the circle of life, the many circles our lives take, but there is beauty and hope in the circles.

The MysteryThey mystery remain unsolved.....or does it?
War By Candle Light
War By Candle LightYou are in the middle of the second world war, in a blacked out cold room, sitting by the light of a candle. No-one is talking, and you are left with your own thoughts, when suddenly you hear the sound of the doodle bug bomb being dropped in your vicinity. Thankfully this one missed as well. Someone produces a pack of cards and a box of matches, and they all laugh when he said that the game is called 'Dodge The Doodle Bug' that card is the Jack of spades - if it comes into your possession you are lucky. You throw the car into the air and whoever it lands on has 3 lives, This is certainly a good distraction - and then above, they hear a second doodle bug come down, and thankfully it lands nearby on empty buildings.
Piano AdagioThe title describes the piece.
Reflections Of War
Reflections Of WarIt's 1948 and we are in Poland, listening to a woman who seems greatly saddened sitting in a room filled with people wrapped in blankets against the cold winter outside. The room is void of comfort, and people are waiting in a queue for someone to pour them a cup of tea. The war is over, the fear has gone, but inside they are left with the horror of Auschwitz where they were released from, where they watched their family wither and die, woman and children - some shot, some withered, yet they lived on. This burden is so heavy it is impossible to sit quietly for one moment in peace - without reflecting on the war.
Spies In Disguise
Spies In DisguiseThe title says it all !
Summer RomanceSet in the 40's picture an evening on the terrace, there's a dance with a big band going on in the large hall of a private estate. There is a full dance band on the stage, and couples are dancing wildly to the new fangled dance tunes. A couple head out of the hall seeking fresh air. They emerge on the terrace to a garden lit with twinkling lights. They reach the balustrade, and as they stand taking in the view of the garden, on a moonlit night, they hear the strains of a piano being played outside beneath the terrace. Their romance is in it's early days. He puts his arm round her shoulders, and turns her towards him, and they start to dance to the music.
ReflectionsWhen you look back, and reflect on life, and sometimes feel wistful that you were back in the past again, or you missed something, and you often think about it with a veil of sadness.
Demented ClarityDemented Clarity is something that is close to my heart. It's the story of dementia, which has touched my family, and no doubt all of yours. It's such a difficult illness / disease to understand. You are faced with a human being that at times makes no sense, then complete sense, then they revert to a place where you're not sure if it's a real story, or one they have just made up. It is painful to watch, and when they have their moments of clarity, it is a beautiful moment, and all seems well with the world, but it is a brief moment.
Murder In Black And White
Murder In Black And WhiteI am thinking along the lines of a silent movie, hence the tongue and cheek slightly sinister, but jaunty attitude felt through the discordant notes, and at times it almost quietens down and you begin to feel safe, and it starts all over again, until the killing notes strike at the end of the piece. Such fun!
The Unexpected Visitor
The Unexpected VisitorThe ambience in the room is wonderful, but there is a knock on the door....who is it? A neighbour, a friend, a relative, or is it an unknown stranger, who brings bad news.....
Bird On A Wire
Bird On A WireNot many people dislike birds, they are a joy to have in your garden. Birds breathe life into a space made and tended by man - this is my interpretation of a bird on a wire. The trills represent the bird.
The DreamI had a dream many years ago - around the 1990's. In my dream I was conducting an orchestra. A voice said to me, 'you are creating this music! If you don't believe me take the French Horns up a minor 3rd.' So I tried, and they moved. Before I knew what was happening, I was creating the most amazing piece of music. In the morning I reminisced with my dad, and we both agreed it would be out of this world if you could have an orchestra to hand that played something that you composed. My dad died in 1995. Now I own the orchestra, it sits in a little black box on my desk, and it sounds amazing! So this piece represents my journey through love and loss, and the beauty and wonder of technology.
The Pendulmn Swings
The Pendulmn SwingsPendulums are the heartbeat of society. Time marches on and halts for no man - this is my interpretation of the pendulum.
The Mysterious Journey
The Mysterious JourneyWhat lies ahead of us as we fly through this galaxy at the speed of light! Each turn, each new road in life takes us to places that some fear, or are not prepared for.
SeparationThe angst of separation from what you love - whether it's a person, an animal, an object, or a passion that you have for doing something that fulfils you. The pain you feel from being apart bears weight upon your very soul.
CloudsThis piece is self explanatory. My studio is on the upper floor, and I have a wonderful view of the sky when I am composing. This piece depicts my journey as I leave my studio and quietly float through the clouds.
SpringSpring is my favourite season, it is the season of promise, of new growth, of nature recovered and renewed. As lighter days draw us from the darkness of winter, spring lifts our spirits, as it fills us with the warmth of the spring sunshine.
BarraBarra is an island in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, and the second southernmost inhabited island. I have always wanted to visit the island, as it looks windswept and beautiful, with white beaches and blues sea that look like they are straight out of a caribbean holiday magazine. Barra and some other areas in Scotland are on the gulf coast. My household consisted of my dad who was a piper, and a bag pipe tutor...addicted to everything to do with pipe music. His two favourite chanters sat by the fireside, and every spare moment he would practise. He also composed pipe music. My favourite pipe music is pibroch - a form of music for the Scottish bagpipes involving elaborate variations on a theme, typically of a martial or funerary character. It's the kind of music you would see performed, that a lone piper plays as he stands in a majestic glen. My mother was an opera singer, so our house had some interesting sounds coming from it. I love the Isle of Barra - I haven't been there, but I watched countless TV programmes, and I intend to visit some day. This piece is faster flowing than pibroch, but the trills are there. Barra is surrounded by the sea, which you can hear in the piece as the tide ebbs and flows.
Black RussianRussian spies, and espionage were the influencing factors for this piece. The unusual case of Butina Pol - the Russian spy who was hiding in plain sight. It is unusual for a spy to draw attention to themselves, they normal hide in the shadows, but Butina was completely different, she gave interviews and speeches, published articles and posed for magazine photos. Butina’s case using public information on the alleged spy operation and their institutional knowledge. She was a variation of a “spotter,” a person who makes connections in the U.S. and passes information to more senior Russian espionage officials.
Alone AgainTo feel as though you are on the edge of the world, on your own feel sad...but sadness can become an empowering emotion.
ButterflyButterfly was written in memory of a very close friend. My friend was so full of life, light and colour, but the very fact that she was no longer here to brighten our lives, made me realise that she was as delicate and precious as a beautiful butterfly.
