I've been singing all of my life, starting out as an actor (I'm still an Equity member) but ultimately focusing on music.
For most of my career I've worked as a soloist, both within the UK and overseas as far away as South East Asia and the Middle East.
Six years ago I became the front lady of a 6 piece function band, playing the wedding/corporate circuit and performing music from across the genres.
So, I'm comfortable carrying the night alone on a more intimate, low key basis or equally, working with a large party band and a big sound.
My training as an actor has equipped me with the skill to know how to use a stage and work an audience - to put on a show and send audiences away having had a great night.
I'm based in Liverpool but I'm very accustomed to travelling far and wide for work, so if the job is right location isn't an issue.
Technically I'd be called a contralto.
