We are Lame Koala.
We are a new musical project that’s just finding its feet.
We make parodies and satirical songs based off of well-known hits and aim to provide audiences with a good laugh with funny lyrics to instrumentation that they are familiar with.
We are soon to release our debut single "Vlad Putin" on April 15th, with another 9 written and planned for release throughout the rest of 2022. We have demos for two of these future releases recorded.
We are looking to form a live band to join the two of us to enable us to take this project to a live audience.
Our aim is to be regularly gigging on most Friday and/or Saturday nights by the end of the year, starting out in support slots and seeing where the wind takes us.
At this stage we are looking for a drummer and a guitarist to join the live band as well as a multi-instrumentalist to act as our first choice dep. Backing vocals is crucial for at least one of the members of the live band.
Any potential drummer and backing vocalist would likely be required for studio work as well as live work. A guitarist without backing vocals would just be needed for live performing.
In regards to the finances, when we eventually do paid gigs everyone will take an equal share, with one extra share going into a band fund. For recorded work, anyone who contributes on a recorded track will receive between 5-15% of the royalties with everything else going into band funds to be reinvested into the project.
