Hello,
I am a professional saxophone player from Lithuania. Now studying Jazz Course in The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. I have also graduated from the classical music school and Lithuanian Conservatoire.
MY EXPERIENCE:
Tours through the whole Lithuania gave me uncountable amount of experience in different art forms. I have played with the best players of the country - Jan Maksimovic and Arkady Gotesman, also experienced with all kind of orchestras and Big Bands, co-operated with electroacoustic performer Arturas Bumsteinas who is well-known for Lithuanian and Polish scenes.
EXPERIENCE IN GLASGOW:
Had an opportunity to play with Tommy Smith's Youth Jazz Orchestra (TSYJO), recorded and performed an electronic music piece, written by composer Stuart Moir for the saxophone and electronics.
MY ACHIEVEMENTS:
With my first group I have won 2nd place in 'PanJazz' competition in 2014, following year we were the winners of The Vilnius Conservatoire competition. With The Magic Time Orchestra's big band I also performed in Kaunas Jazz Festival and with the new main trio we performed in Vilnius Jazz festival scene and won a diploma for the most original composition TWICE (in 2015 and 2016).
PROGRESSION WITH ME:
I have created my own programme of improving which suits every person. We would develop ourselves musically and psychologically together. It doesn't matter if You're just a starter, advanced, younger or older player, but if You want to learn to play the saxophone and improve yourself as a musician, I can help You developing all of the skills, starting from a good instrument sound to the philosophy of the music art in every style.
