Band to Join.

ABOUT

I've been singing for years both in choirs and performing with bands or one off events for friends, family, workplace groups and local good causes. I'm looking for a band who need a vocalist. I love performing, I like rehearsing too. I just enjoy singing and music in all it’s forms really. I’m currently rehearsing with some guys and we have an established set list but we need a bass player so we’ve not gigged - I’m also always on the lookout for other opportunities as I’d love to get out gigging

Influences

I like the usual female singer songwriter stuff Norah Jones Paloma Faith, Amy Winehouse, female led bands like Texas or Florence and the Machine. I also like country music , rock and pop, R and B and all the classics. Julie London, Doris Day to Pink and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Arcade fire and Grace potter and the nocturnals are favourites too. I like a huge range of music and happy to sing songs that move an audience even if I wouldn’t listen to them at home. I'm not into heavy metal or hard rock and I'm not a particularly accomplished jazz singer but anything else I'm likely to be able to turn my hand to. I have quite a large vocal range and a decent amount of volume when performing, like any good Welsh girl Sir Tom, Duffy Shirley the stereophonics or Cerys should always appear on a playlist somewhere. I'm looking to join either an established band and share lead singing or to
join a band just starting out so we can all move on together.
