ABOUT

I've decided to begin a new venture and form a brand new band from the floor upwards with a genre in the style of Needtobreathe / Green River Ordinance / ie Southern Rock / Rock / Texas, bluegrass / blues or 'a wash of each' and would love to get the following musicians and backing vocalist on board as well;-
Banjo, Fiddle / violin, keys with genre experience or an interest in the genre, guitar (steel, lead and rhythm), drums
Here are a couple of my vocal examples - 1 cover and one I wrote with an established composer -

About me ;-
I've Sung Covers ie Soul / Commitments / James Brown / to / Michael Buble / Needtobreathe / Casting Crowns / Mercyme / Christian Contemporary / etc
I record a lot and write with Soundcloud Composers here and there when I find ones I like -Contemporary soul - contemporary rock - new contemporary Christian artists and styles........ from Deep House / Ambient to Dubstep to .... Let's just say many genres but not Punk or jazz.

Ideally want to meet up with musicians who can bring a lot of experience and ideas to the table especially genre wise ie. as above with maybe rock / country / soul / Blues / Perhaps Christian contemporary or secular or both or just secular - BUT it would have to be quality musicianship and the fun in the music that decides in the end......

I often chill out when I rehearse on my own with what I like (as above and below) - Please forgive the amateur quality of the videos - the Soundtracks on Soundcloud are studio recorded and much better versions, but I've begun using my own software so there is a lot more of my own stuff in the pipeline at the moment.

Influences

As above, I love anything, from; The Eagles, Needtobreathe, Green River Ordinance, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, mid to Light Rock To Michael Buble 'Feeling good', The Commitments, Casting Crowns, Mercyme, Emeli Sandi, Pixie Lott......
I like the idea of new band with a quality & big guitar driven country sound with all the pieces that put the shine on an ordinary piece of music. Add into that possibly fiddle or violin, banjo, bass, keys etc (as above) and then you have the beginnings of something good.
Other vocals would be essential to get right too as I love a good harmony and if you get it right well...... Boom !
If you are not interested in the band and I am not busy then I can write easily with a guitarist or keyboard player and then progress from that to a band or we could just meet up and see what people want to bring to the table without it being 'lets just jam and get nowhere quickly idea', of course.
I'm not particularly interested in gigging straight away - I think getting things tight and a 'sound' are more important.
I'd record straight away with the right musicians who have something good to work with as above..... if that makes sense.
I've done lots of gigs and from pubs to corporate so the idea of playing to a room full of drunks who don't appreciate anything isn't really my idea of a fun night but to get the experience for and build on the sound with other band members it can be worth it.
You will get more out of writing and organizing personal gigs if you ask me though.

EQUIPMENT

I have a PA in storage that any solo performer or even small band would gig with but Ideally I would like to plug a mic into someones else's obviously or just bring a monitor speaker etc to add to the mix f what people have going on for now. Too much too soon is just a crash mix ! lol
I have my own recording software and ability to record from home.
